I don't think it'll matter one iota which midfield 3 starts until they have some capable full backs on the pitch. Two cogs don't turn.
And that ****ing numbnut Osula. What a pile of ****. It’s like a really crap danish version of Tino Asprilla where nobody knows what the hell hes going to do apart from he lacks the technical skill, the experience, the mr blobby outfit, the guns and the condom company
Our wingers are great when on form I agree but they arent on form at the moment and thus they are a disaster zone. Gordon needs to be consistent, he isnt a young kid learning his trade anymore. He may well turn on for the CL etc but its these bread and butter games where he should be filling his boots but its almost like he thinks its beneath him. Elanga is a speed merchant, so use it, knock the ball past a defender and out sprint them. Everyone knows now the Big Nick will do great lay offs so why arent we seeing the layoffs and Gordon, Elanga running in behind onto them. Murphy is the only one that is exempt from the above but the wingers for me seem to have forgotten what they are meant to be doing.
We're in the relegation battle this season guys. If you don't agree, that's fine, but looking at the sides above us I'm pretty sure. We can't keep dining out on beating Union sg and the worst benfica side for decades
3 of the following will go.. Not much between them either. Fulham Burnley Leeds Wolves West ham Newcastle Everton Everyone else is better than Newcastle.
We’re a huge mess given the money and ambition. Some ludicrous purchases and loyalty have fcked us for the near future.
Some of Newcastles early signings were excellent and Thiaw and Woltemade look good buys, but unfortunately Howes taste in wingers, and his attitude towards youth have ruined the takeovers progression. The other clubs have kicked on and Newcastle have started poncing around with rotational purchases.
It’s a great summary. As we’ve said there’s a reliance on loyalty and character that cannot carry on.
Looks like a manager with no clear plan, just random guesswork. Nowhere near good enough at this level.
Today was the first time under Howe i honestly felt there was a lack of effort, not just a poor display.
Relegation? A little bit of crazyness going on here. Guys we're short of our fullbacks. All of them. They're good players and we're missing them badly. We're short of an in-the-box centre forward. And we're playing a lot of games right now. Ramsdale can be given game time in goal. Pope obviously had a poor game. Yes, we were terrible today. But we're not a terrible side every game.
“that’s the worst we’ve played during that run of games where we haven’t won. It didn’t look like a Newcastle team that we’ve seen in recent seasons. I think the body language, the collective spirit on the pitch, loads of little things that contribute to our performance weren’t there. "The longer that first half went on, the more frustrated I was with our performance. We were unrecognisable in certain aspects of our game." This is exactly where misplaced loyalty, lack of ambition and limited transfers get you. Strap in because we’ve got months if not years of this.
