Recently I have been driving backwards and forwards to Plymouth a lot. Some of these drivers appear have to have learned how to drive on the play station, undertaking, weaving in and out of traffic and tailgating, none of the merchant bankers ever seem to get pulled for it. One of them in his Range Rover tried undertaking me today, so I just put my foot down and blocked him in, until he was right on top of the car in his lane, annoying Tw@s

That makes you almost, but not quite, as bad as him in my opinion.

Yeah it seems to be a lot more common these days, or is it just more people cruising down the middle lane.
What I have noticed though is the fact that Tesla drivers are rapidly trying to out gun the Audi and BMW drivers to take the worst driver championship title.

I think if someone wants past let them. If you're not overtaking get out the outside lane.
Folks sat in middle lane for no good reason annoying too.

I wasnt in the outside lane, I was maintaining my speed to overtake someone in the inside lane, some of them also seem terrified to go in the outside lane, just strange

I have always found BMW drivers to be the most accomplished of all drivers.

Every other make of car - not so much. They do diah out a lot of hand signals my way though :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Had a right carry on with a transit van driver a couple of weeks ago. What a twat he was. Though he going to explode because I wouldnt let him cut in after he tried to avoid the queue to exit <laugh><laugh> I rather politely wound my window down to hear his words of advice for me and then laughed my arse off when he has finished and wound my window back up and winked :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Try driving forwards only, that could be part of the problem :)

Coming South on the A1 past the Metrocentre and going North on the A1 past Chester le Street. In both places, the road widens to three lanes. Nobody moves left and just continues to tootle along in the middle lane. That annoys me on a regular basis.

Can't drive backwards on the motorway, likely to do yourself and others a real mischief.

40+ years been driving busses/coaches/heavy goods lorries up and down the country and around Europe but now I've handed my licenses back because of the state of people's diabolical driving, it's not a joy driving anymore. Got a new job 15 mins drive away and it's the only driving I do now, 30 mins a day and it has changed my life. Not stressed out now and even my life with the Mrs has improved

I can take almost any stupidity if they stick their hand up in a '**** sorry gesture'. Don't keep quite as calm when they then gesture to me like I'm the muppet. A woman would have completely cut into me overtaking her on the m6 or m62 if I didn't see her moving across. She clearly didn’t check her blindspot, I got the ****er signs from her cause that was my fault. Wouldn't care there was nothing in front of her that she needed to overtake at that moment in time. She was probably "getting into the fast lane!" <doh><laugh>

Of all the things I ****ing hate on the motorway its people who kick off behind me wanting me to go faster or move across to let them past when its quite ****ing obvious I can't go anywhere. By this I mean I'm in the outside lane trying to overtake and there is a car in front of me and then to my left the car I'm overtaking is still alongside.

They then start gesturing for me to get out the ****ing way etc... like I'm ****ing trying mate as soon as its clear in front I'll pass this car if it doesn't clear and this car in the middle lane gets ahead of me I'll go back across and you can zoom pass. They then start gesturing **** and I lose cool but really need to learn to laugh at them as I'm sure that will get to them more.

Wouldn't care but its happened twice in last month's or so and all they gained was to be im the same position I was as the car that stopped me going any faster also stopped them!

Motorway driving can be the biggest pleasure and worst nightmare in driving. Its all about timing for me. Appreciate if you're a professional driver this doesn't apply.

Whenever I have to drive any significant distance I go to bed early and set off early, between 3 and 5 AM. Absolute piece of piss driving on motorways at that time...super smooth, 70 (80...) ish all the way, get where you're trying to get to in time for breakfast...full extra day where you wanna be. Easy.

I'm personally not averse to an occasional undertake when it's required...but only if there's space for it and doing so is safe. Doing 70 in the outside lane when there's nowt in the inside lane is just being a bit of a bellend, imho. Happens all the time too.

On the other hand, I remember a few occasions, driving the 210 miles from the NE to Cambs, setting off at 5PMish on a Friday, in the pissing down rain, to visit me ma, and I was physically shaking by the time I got there after 7 or 8 near death experiences just down to the bumper to bumper traffic...folk slamming their breaks on and the weather conditions. It can be really, really stressful.

Personally, I can't wait until cars are fully driverless, much safer and I can just gan to kip in the back:emoticon-0102-bigsm

Driving the Lorrie’s now, noticed how bad some drivers are more since doing this. Literally no idea of what undertaking a hgv could do to them, need eyes in the back of your head

The answer is front and rear dashcams and sending footage to the police eg via Operation Snap.

What I always find amusing is that most drivers I see with these front and back cameras are actually shocking drivers and the type of drivers who will likely cause a crash.

If you see me with my front and rear , you’ll notice that I’m oblivious to them being there , I’m not looking to catch others driving badly , nor am I more likely to cause a crash than anyone else. They are there so if the balaclava lads smash into me , I have proof it wasn’t my fault.

I just bought one as some idiot didn't like me giving him the finger for overtaking me at 50 to 60 in a 40 mile zone just when I needed to change lane for the roundabout ahead.
I pulled out behind him and he slammed his anchors on with no traffic in front.
Luckily I stopped and avoided a collision.
He was driving a black Audi but I didn't get his registration.
