Very few 17 year olds are better than Obertan. If he is already better than Obertan (which I doubt) then he will be a world-beater.

He is better than Obertan. Obertan is ****, Redmond is good. Redmond may improve and become a brilliant player but that isn't guaranteed. He is better than Obertan either way.

I thought he was fantastic and i know he's highly rated down there. He seems destined for something big, still has the voice of an 8 year old like. I couldnt see hm signing for Arsenal, they dont seem to like players that can actually cross a ball. Someone like Liverpool or Tottenham will probbaly come in for him.

No idea how people can slate his 'end product' after that match :S He tore Marsibor's left back a new one, even after plenty of horrible tackles. Assisted the winning goal and hit the post with a nice volley. He put plenty of great crosses in, its not his fault he fking ZIGIC to aim at. Someone who actually makes Crouch look useful in the air.

I think thats a slightly short sighted opinion based on a lot of assumptions....for a start, how many senior appearances has Redmond got? What clubs has he played for? Has he played PL football? Has he played CL football? For all you know, Redmond could get thrown into a PL game and get destroyed.

Obertan wins on all these fronts and is still a young player. Plus I highly disagree that he is 's***', I think he is a good player but has confidence issues. His injury after the Stoke game came at the worst possible time though, just when he was starting to show confidence, but he still gave Evra plenty of problems the other week! IMO his pace is invaluable and he will turn out to be a good player for us, perhaps better, as he certainly has the talent but as I said before, all his problems are in his head.

Prefer Frei from Fulham. He looks like a mini Ronaldo. Got Man U/Arse written all over him. Must admit this kid looks good too, him and Forrest of Celtic are more realistic. Forrest looks an excellent prospect.

He's played in Europe, and played 3 cup games at the age of 16 for Birmingham last season, as well as being an unused sub in the league. And this season he has played 12 times, across league and Europe mainly. 15 senior appearances, same as Obertan has played for us. I'd prefer Redmond. Obertan has played PL and CL football and looked out his depth. I think he'd be out of his depth at any level, he's reasonably quick when he wants to be but can't beat a man most of the time. His end product is woeful. He is yet to shoot on target this season. I just don't rate Obertan one bit.

I hope Nathan Redmond doesn't suffer from Claustrophobia he is in Nathaniel Clyne back pocket.
