That's an interesting post. Lot of Hull fans probably thinking they would just automatically get the player of 2 years ago. Even then, I'm not sure he'd fit this team which plays at more pace.
Tufan’s biggest problem during his entire career is that he doesn’t maintain consistent physical standards. Rosenior transformed him into a pressing midfielder and he was the fittest he’s ever been when he was with us. I’ve seen him at Trabzonspor and he seems to have reverted to his old ways. He’s put on weight and looks leggy most games. I love Tufan but if we sign him in January, it would mean months of getting him back to a decent physical standard and he’s not getting any younger. He left with a good legacy and I would just leave it at that.
Thats what I was getting at. If acun still talks to carvalho regularly, he could quite well suggest he's only interested in coming here.
I wouldn’t bother with Zambrano in January. Let him get back to fitness and help Maribor in the second half of their season. It’s also unfair and hard for Acun to justify to Maribor that he’s signed them a midfielder in the summer who is banned until November and then gets loaned out to us in January. We can sign Zambrano in the summer permanently in a deal that benefits both us and Maribor.
It’s definitely not beyond the realms of possibility that if Carvalho knows he’s done in the summer at Brentford he’s keen on 6 months back at the club he performed best at in England to help put him in the shop window again
As everyone has said lousy first half way better second. Gelhardt is beginning to look a little like Bowen-who everytime he got the ball anywhere near goal looked like he was going to score. I am puzzled at why young Brown is not getting any minutes especially with Miller being out again. Thought Ndala was anonnyous and for all his hard work and running Joseph not effective. Surely Brown, yesteday, could have replaced one of those two for at least a cameo appearance. I can only assume the boss is seeing a different player in training than many of us saw in pre season? Re Matazo anyone know where he is at the moment-is he back in Hull?
Very disappointed with Ndala, was miles off the game, chasing round trying to catch up, giving us no threat/outlet down left and Giles pinned back doing all the work. Also Destan when he came on seemed to think it was not his job to press. Several times others stepped up to press where he should and gave him the look to say, 'that is what you should be doing '. Crooks looked off it physically but his desire to get the ball forward and hus understanding of the game added some quality at times. Gyabi starting to look very promising.
over the last 5 games we've picked up 13 points derby have 10 with 3 wins on the bounce be interesting game theyre usually a low scoring team except playing the blunts they didnt score more than 1 goal in a game in the previous 8 games so this bit of binary is apt for them 01100011 01110101 01101110 01110100 01110011
He did, but it’s the only thing of note that he’s done in nine appearances, he looks way out of his depth.
The difference between him and joseph is huge Josephs obvious current weakness is his compsure at the final ball But he's strong, fast and has almost infinite stamina Defenfers in the champ will absolutely hate playing against him If he starts scoring a bit, he wont be here for long Mcburnies missed 3 games now And destans played about 30 mins in total Its clear hes not ready to play more yet
Destan needs time on the pitch like many new players to be effective . I keep repeating it , he’s got better touch , awareness and technique than Joseph but he’s only about as quick or slow . The situation the game is in dictates what he can do .
I see KLP can no longer get a start in the Brentford side...Keith Andrews doesn't fancy him, though wasted at full back. Might be worth a cheeky enquiry in the January window, especially if the Nylons bring in an experienced f/b
