The flip side of this is that the Athletic are reporting that Wolves are considering Carrick - as well as the likes of Edwards and Gary O'Neil.

From the list I would take Ralph, Brendon ( I know a twat, but a competent manager), Stevie G, think he would have gravitas and respect from.players. would also take Libby' s shout of Warnock, and would take Allerdyce as been banging is drum for some time.
They all have lots of experience at managing at the level we are playing at (Gerrard at Rangers = championship level). I really do believe any of those would have a real impact in uplifting results and performances quickly

Rohl and Ralph's style of play are pretty close to each other, no? Rohl was criticised throughout his time at Sheff W by their supporters for "running out of steam" late in the game and conceding/dropping points.

Why? He made it work at Sheffield Wednesday so would likely do so with us.

But most of their fans raved about him working wonders with the squad he had.

All kind of academic talking about who will come in.

We still have the incumbent to deal with first.

I was thinking earlier that it was staggering we haven’t pulled the trigger, but I think they are going to have to give him the next couple of games I suspect.

So bad supporting saints over the last 18 months. Utterly depressing.

It’s that bad I’m watching Food Network. To be fair, Gordon Ramsey just did a delicious pumpkin soup. I was particularly impressed he used all the ingredients in the right order, and had the utensils lined up perfectly ready for action.

Bertrand in the first and Alex in the second match. Sat in our Social club on a thoroughly wet evening outside, surrounded by plenty of Bompey fans for the Leicester game. It was a quiet walk home!

    Of the realistic option OP posted, for me;

    1. Carrick
    2. Gerrard
    3. Brendan

Fair enough for Leicester that really was something incredible, but that United result was a bit of a freak created by Jankiewitz being a colossal twat, an absolutely insane injury crisis and a hideous refereeing performance.

I actually think the 6-0 at home against Chelsea was a worse performance than both as well, that could have been 15-0 bar some poor finishing and one of the best goalkeeping performances I have ever seen in person.

Either way yeah not many managers could have survived all of that, yet he is still the last Saints manager to put a smile on my face at the top level.

    That’s a great shout.

We just need someone with enough experience/pedigree that they can tell all the players to shut the **** up.

Weirdest thing about Ralph is that for all the battering we took the game which annoys me most was only a 1-0 defeat.

The Leicester cup semi final in 2021 - we put so much effort into the cup run that year and then chucked out such a pathetic performance when it mattered.

Basically a worse version of that Sheffield United League Cup game under Koeman, complete rage fuel.

As Ralph did with our squad for so long in the PL. Obviously different in terms of Champ Vs PL opponent quality, but they both appeared to have the same weaknesses.

Doubt we'll have one in before the international break, but who knows.
