I think Steve Bruce was always under the pump tbf. Howe has annihilated Bruce from every angle since he arrived. I'm not happy league wise, but we can often be slow starters. A very mixed season this far, excellent in the cups, average in the league.
Our issue is in the attack, how we go forward with the ball. Same old triangles, same old lines of attack, same old shots. There's absolutely nothing new. All we hope for is individual class from our strikers. A loss against Sunderland and this fanbase will explode, Howe will be ****ed.
5 points above the bottom 3 having spent £40m on Ramsey (a sub), £80m on Nick (hauled off), £55m on Elanga (a sub who did **** all) and ended up with Tonali at right back, Osula on the field, Burn playing 90 minutes to secure a 1/10 rating and had no discernible plan whatsoever. This is a ****ing mess.
He'd better not ****ing defend it or use excuses. We were **** and his ****ing selections, tactics and subs were a joke.
Right now Newcastle are 13th, 5pts off the bottom 3 and hiding behind wins vs benfica Union SG and Fulham. Ultimately that performance from the players and the manager was absolutely dreadful.
We can't complain. For creativity, we were shocking. The worst standard from us I've seen. Too many appeared to be saving themselves for the next game.
He's probably one of the only players at the club I'd listen to. His stats are the best of all 3 midfielders and he actually could have left and stayed. Managers get credit and today imo Howe made an absolute arse of it.
after going 1 nil up on 4 mins, we offered nothing going forward 3 gifted mistakes for their goals from a defence that has been pretty solid bad day at the office or just a lazy performance from Newcastle ??? either way it has ****ed my weekend up - BASTARDS
That was genuinely like watching us under Steve Bruce. I'm actually lost for words with that performance.
