    I’m sure you all will be but wear your poppy this year. I think it is more important than ever.

    I think it is so important that we don’t forget. There will come a time soon where anyone who fought in the Second World War will be gone. We must keep their memories and what they did alive.

    Yes. There were plans to redevelop it but it included 19 storey flats and so got rejected.

    The nearest leisure centre otherwise would have been in The Glades I'd imagine.

    From somewhere (cannot recall where) I once bought a poppy with a magnet on the back of it.
    Probably for use where somebody did not want to use a pin to hold it in place.
    It's attached to the fridge now. I buy a new one each year, the traditional pin on variety.

    Folks wear lots of different styles these days, but as long as their donation goes to the Royal British Legion the form isn't important.
    Remembrance and respect for the supreme sacrifices made in defence of our freedom is what matters.
