Keep the politics/current affairs thread. There must be an outlet for such views and opinions, even if we seldom agree on contentious issues.
I don’t think you have been listening to what has been said. Pls can you voluntarily step aside as Moderator. You are more than welcome to stay as a member, where your contribution will be valued. It’s going to be embarrassing if I have to escalate this and ask for you to be removed, which I will do if I have to.
If you had the power you'd have done it already. So stop threatening me with it and get on with doing it. You're only embarrassing yourself at this point.
I may start a poll with a few options for future political postings. The majority view will carry it.
We don’t want you as Mod Lardi . Is that hard to understand? Your “moderating” stinks, for reasons already stated. You are not up to it. I think you want to be removed so you can cos play your favourite role, Mr A.Victim. If 50% plus of regular posters wanted a change, that would impact on the thinking of most people. @Dick Plumb1 deserves the chance as Mod. He was 100% correct - long ago - about the non footballing threads on here. You have only jumped on the bandwagon late in the day to save your own skin.
Why do you say that 50% want a change? The poll shows that only one poster agrees with the title of the thread.
Nobody gets to be Mod forever, it’s a 8 member football forum, not a Dukedom. The original poll asks a different question.
What he means is that He and Dick don't want me as moderator. As far as he's concerned that's a majority.
You held a poll. You're losing it. We've done all this before. In March I allowed the pair of you to brow-beat me into telling brb I wished to step down. Then - surprise surprise - Dick left the forum when he was sole moderator, and you left with him. I had to go back to brb and apologise. He was good enough to re-instate me. I'm not going to waste his time again. If you want to, go right ahead. I doubt you'll cut much ice, as you have form for disappearing and abandoning your responsibilities.
I am confident that at least 5.5 of our 8 strong membership would like a change of Mod. Think of it more as a wish for change than a rebuke for you.
I didn’t brow beat anyone. Stop trying to reinvent history. If people want me as mod, I will do it. If they don’t that is fine I will still carry on posting on here.
