Pointless, but inevitable as they’ll be relegated. I suppose they may as well start planning for a promotion challenge now. They’ll be able to shift players in January, before their values plummet. Strand Larsen will be worth half of what Newcastle offered by then. So now there are two places to fill at the bottom … … two from West Ham, Leeds, Burnley and Everton In my opinion.
Hard to see them getting out of it mind. Still got Liverpool to play twice, Arsenal twice, Chelsea twice, Man Utd twice. They won't get much out of those, and other hard games. They've just had two promoted teams plus a struggling Fulham and lost all three. Where are they going to get nine or ten wins? One gone I'd say.
Been saying the same to my son this season, Everton haven’t impressed me at all, hope this doesn’t bite me in the arse come Monday, but they seem predictable and brittle at the back
Their form is poor and Moyes is now criticising his strikers. And as you say their back line is there to be attacked. For the first time I think Le Bris will take a few chances and really go for the win ... ... personally I'd rather draw, from attacking and conceding, than grinding out a point playing safe.
I largely agree, but I can still see someone else getting dragged in as well. Brentford or Fulham, perhaps. There's always at least one team that massively under performs that people won't expect, Spurs and Man U last season for example.
What I've liked this season is that there hasn't been the usual 'new manager' bounce/improvement. They'll end up (hopefully) with another bang average manager.
If we do, they'll turn on him. As a mate of mine said, they loved Pardew until he lost to us in 2013.
Is it me or is Eddie Howe gradually starting to look like Steve Bruce? A few times during that match they showed him and he's really starting to look like him. Give it a few more months and you'll struggle to tell them apart.
