Living out in east Europe for 25 years it never came across as having a knife culture. Some massive football hooligan gangs and rivalries but reports of stabbing were very rare.
Africa and the countries East of Greece however is a different story.

After 25 years in Eastern Europe you will certainly have more knowledge than me Balkan. My quote came from Sheffield people. Apparently the Pakistani community lived quite happily for a long time until many Slovakian’s arrived then trouble started to increase between both communities.
I’ll go back to them re what they have told me and find out why they feel that was the case. I’ll hold that quote as unreliable.

On that link was the usual good old reassuring phrase of "we will do everything in our power to..".
No you ****ing won't and don't.
You are right, can't believe a word.
If they cared, there'd have been a total zero tolerance on carrying knives, with stop and search fully implemented.
They roll out the same platitudes time and time again then do next to **** all (wether it's knives, drugs, illegal immigration, .....)

It may be a foreigner in the UK thing, perhaps they feel unsafe and need to be tooled up giving them a sense of security.
Growing up in the 70s and 80s I don't remember knifes and stabbings being a thing back then. Even when football hooliganism was at a high it was rare to hear of a stabbing.

It was a very rare thing back in the day. It genuinely worries me for all people. I’ve asked one person since earlier post and he said more just anti social now than knifes but does still happen. I now live in the village where a young lad called Harvey Wildgoose was stabbed to death while at school. Stabbed at school FFS.

It’s so so sad, but the lack of respect (I’m not talking about conforming to the elites wants, but just general manners) and the lack of deterrent makes these situations inevitable.

The biggest drug gangs are all run by the Albanian’s, they have such a hold on it.

There are also massively over represented in our jails, something like 1 in 50 Albanians here are in prison.

It begs the question why are we allowing them to stay here, what would we actaully be missing if we refused entry/visas to 99.9% of them applying ?

The safety of the people should be any Governments first priority, we are being let down by those that rule us.

In the year up to September 2024, we deported 54 Albanians per week, we’re actually better at deporting Albanians than any other nationality.

There is no reason to flee Albania so non should be given refuge status.
All Albanians need a visa to enter the UK. The vetting system should weed out the undesirables. Any who are issued with a visa and subsequently overstay can and should be deported. Unfortunately once they are in its very easy to go off the radar, as it is in most countries to be fair.
