Gelhardt - keeping us afloat up top in McBurnie's absence. Giles - not a lot going forward but credit to him for a few tackles and blocks he wouldn't have made last season. Ajayi - he can take the credit for how much better we looked when he came on, but realistically the improvement was down to the change of shape.
Not a classic victory . You can see why Norwich are near the bottom. After a poor 1 st. half when Norwich fluffed several opportunities felt we were the better team 2nd half. 1. Gelhardt- although no one stood out going forward 1st. half he was the best . He got a well taken and important goal and was always a pain for their defence. 2. Egan - was solid and showed his experience with good positioning and blocking goalbound shots . 3. Slater - did bit in front of the defence tackling and breaking down play . Well done boys Come on City

Gelhardt - was the pick of a bad bunch from the first half and probably did enough with the goal to be top of the list. Egan - thought all the centre backs had strong games but he edged the others out. Crooks - the system change obviously made a huge difference to the result but once he played deeper we just seemed to have far more control in the game.
