I was surprised it wasn’t, just to compound a half that really couldn’t be much worse!
It must be psychological, we aren’t the greatest team but why do we always put our worst performance of the season in against this lot?
    Almost every time

I don't think this is really our level.

We're missing Romero, Kulu, Maddison and Solanke.

But there is no question that we are suffering from continually poor recruitment, spending piles of cash on middling players who contribute so little across a season. Bunch of expensive passengers.

I hope now that Levy is gone and Fabio is back, we can fix this moving forward. It has absolutely killed us.

Brennan, Simons, Richarlison, Tel, Odobert...that's close to £200m on players who just aren't at the races.

Abysmal half of football from us.

If Romero has 45 mins in him then get him on, we need his aggression.

Get him on for Simons, go with a back 3 and give Porro and Spence more freedom to attack down the flanks.

one of the things I was worried about when we sacked Ange was that fans would expect way too much, way too early.
That's still the case now...we have almost all our creative players injured so we are going to be pretty toothless and imho fans need to have realistic expectations for what is achievable this season.

RKM has done bloody well considering the absolute **** service and support he has had.

Terrible half and this could get ugly. No excuses, we have just been poor from 2-11.

Not a good watch . We are not that bad and they are not that good. It's always like this against them. We know this but we hope it will be different. 2nd half?

You're right but there is a seriously worrying trend developing in our home games. We've lost something like 12 of our last 18 fixtures there which is shocking.

It's not just that we lose, we play badly and lose.

This doesn't seem to happen when we play away.

Absolutely no idea why this is happening.

I've never had an issue with us dropping points as long as they put an effort in and give it a go. But our home games aren't just a case of dropping points, they are shockingly bad performances too.

I can’t recall the last time I saw spurs actually perform well.
Shocking first half but we can turn it around. Only one goal in it.

Totally agree, they are not near the level they used to be but we have been so poor. The lack of creativity is killing us in the middle and there is no-one willing to play that "killer" pass.

Simons confidence looks shot to pieces and poor old Muani has had no support at all up front....

To be honest I’m not even sure it’s a confidence thing. I just don’t think he’s good enough for this league. He has talent but he needs more time on the ball than what the Prem gives, it’s early days of course but I can’t help but feel he’s joining a fairly long list of Bundesliga attacking mids/ wide forwards that have come to the Prem and flopped.

We really needed him to come in and at least try to cover the creative hole left by Kulu and Maddison’s injuries and instead all we’ve got is a Harry Winks regen - passes back or sideways or gets tackled.

Why is Simons confident so shot for a newbie?

Having issues settling down or does he feel too much expected of him?

    I mean he’s not wrong

we do need a 10 who is eager to take the game by the scruff of the neck
