Match Day Thread Will Still's useless XI* v Preston North End, 1st November, 3pm

So I left my seat in the Chapel at around 88 minutes and made my way pitch side to go round to the dug out and give abuse to Still and the players.

Most of them left head down etc. Nathan Wood however was giving it back, shouting at the fans and telling us to “**** off” and so on. Total c*nt.

 

Showing passion, just 95 minutes too late.

Still hasn’t turned up for the interview

 

Part of me feels we can't afford to leave him out, but actually **** him I want him suspended and fined a months wages. These ****s need to be taught a lesson.

 

Hopefully he is typing out his resignation.

 

So as the old man couldn't go today I opted not to bother.

Went curtain shopping with my wife instead, had a lovely row on the way and we then proceeded to awkwardly walk around Dunelm in silence for an hour. I still had a much better day than I would have done at St Marys.

I am not going to defend Still in anyway and I will be perfectly ok with him being sacked after this, but I think we shouldn't get too excited about what the next manager can achieve, I think these players are a big problem with huge attitude issues and the squad is an uneven mess.

SR threw the kitchen sink at wingers in the window, but we have no capable strikers (don't tell me Archer is better than this, he had a brief blip of success in a career of mediocrity so far) and our CBs are ****.

Scienza is our highlight, Armstrong is still mainly good at this level, Robinson is a prospect, Azaz and Fellowes could come good, Charles will come back from injury. But the entire rest of the team?.... I'm not holding my breath.

 

Not caught up yet. But the day gets worse. All trains to Bournemouth cancelled as there is a car stuck on the line so having to get a taxi and claim back. I blame Sprots Republic.

 

Agree with Adam and Joe. Still sounds so downbeat, I can’t imagine him riling up a team to turn a game around.

 

Part of me doesn't really mind Wood giving it back because if I put myself in his shoes, if someone is screaming at me and calling me a **** or telling me to **** off, in any scenario whatsoever, I would 100% give it back.

Just because you are in a crowd and at a football stadium that doesn't give you the right to abuse someone and expect them to politely take it.

 

Yeah I quite like it, fair play to him. He can go home and shag his hot Mrs on piles of cash he makes aswell

 

So sitting in the back of a £150 for 7 people taxi to Bournemouth. No other football people in it, but happy shoppers. They blame Sports Republic too.

 

Thing is, it wasn’t even that bad. I was basically the only person shouting and booing (or so it seemed). All around me were just kids with signs asking for players shirts. The ‘abuse’ - if you could call it that - was barely audible. And yet he was triggered as f*ck. Like, way too much. Was weird.

And let’s face it, the players have nothing to complain about. They were all dogsh*t.

 

I've said it before so many times: playing three CBs will NEVER work without a pair of very good WBs. They are absolutely essential to making the formation function.

And yet what we got from Manning was one of the worst performances I have ever seen in a Saints shirt.

 

And Roerslev has to be the most vanilla professional footballer I’ve ever seen.

 

Fair enough - I can only think others must have been going at him too (I probably would have been!).

I'm not saying fans shouldn't be doing it, they need to know how we feel and so do the board. But I don't think anyone can get too annoyed at him responding in kind.

 

This squad is not that bad, certainly not threatening the relegation places bad so what's the problem? Pretty obvious to me that we have a manager with zero personality and is so out of his depth that the lifeguards should be called! It appears as if the players are all just looking at Still and asking themselves
" Who the **** is this imposter? " SR need to pull the trigger right now, no more "let's wait and see, give the guy a chance , he'll come good in the end" bollocks
Right Now - Right this Minute - overwise St Mary's is going to turn Toxic as fans have had enough of SR's bullshit!

 

Losing is one thing. But lack of effort is too much. We couldn’t string a sequence of passes all game. We were second best to every loose ball. And the amount of times our defenders hit aimless balls up to no one, I lost count.

None of our players really look like they give a sh*t. Tell me I’m wrong about that.

 

An experienced manager would be a good start. Nah, **** it, let’s go left.
