I didn’t even bother trying to find a stream today. That may have been the only time ever that I’m not even arsed. I even went to the supermarket during the game. So predictable it’s pretty funny. Im not sure what the solution is, but I really hope people vote with their feet. Not about sacking Still as that will naturally happen at some point, but about hounding SR from our club.
Wouldn't jump to conclusions on that. You can't even see who it is aimed at and you have no idea what it is in reaction to.
Really he should go now; kick Will Still out immediately, let Lallana be manager until they've found someone. It doesn't matter if they haven't got anyone in the pipeline. Anything's better than this.
Why stop at Still? Sack the board, every 'coach', every 'recruitment' 'team' 'member', every 'football player (?)' bar Scienza, Armstrong, Robinson and Charles and just play them with the Under 21s. I have no defence for Still, but I anticipate it will take about 2 months for us to have this thread for the next manager SR appoint too, every element of the club is a flaming turd with precious few exceptions.
Nah as I said in the other thread I like him for doing that, the others are just thinking “who are these loser ****s losing their **** over a game” but won’t say it, just clap and walk off
Give it to Lallana for the next two games. He should have been sacked after the Blackburn game. No question. The fact that he was given another chance today was disgraceful, but we've come to expect them from SR. Useless bunch of... Yet again he starts with three CBs. Yet again he plays Adam as the lead striker. Yet again he subs off a CM during the game for someone who isn't a CM, and from thereon everything is just horrendous. These are really, really amateur errors.
Nope. I still don't think it's by any means entirely all his fault, or even that he's the biggest problem at the club. But he's certainly not the solution either and the job is simply too big for him imo. He's too used to being an underdog and not a big enough personality for what's needed. I don't think they'll sack him though. I think they're waiting for the international break and then we'll get a win against Wednesday and they'll see a reason to give it longer.
Yeah this is how I see it as well. If we get a win from the next 2 I think he stays for a bit longer. I think they may even be happy to give him til Xmas and see where we are then.
Yeah I don’t see anyone thinking it is all his fault, I think the forum seems united in he is out of his depth but this is yet again full on SR shoulders for making the decision to hire him. That said, I do blame Still for his formation and tactics and subs. Seems beyond weird he openly says he wants to play a certain way, we buy him players to play that way, then he doesn’t play that way. Well weird is that.
The warning signs where there in August. It made no sense to me that Still was saying that the reason he played three CBs was because he didn't have the players to play 4-2-3-1. I know some people on here wanted to defend him for that, and fair enough because he was new to the job. But there are more than two formations in the world. Just because he might not have been to play 4-2-3-1, did not mean that he had to play 5-2-3 instead. The fact that he's still playing three CBs in November is awful.
Because I don't wake up angry in the morning and I don't pre-judge people, because I have had that done to me, I said give him a chance and judge him on results after 10-to-15 games or so. That is fair. Despite all the seemingly happy Saints fans who now say how right they were, life isn't like that and he could have been brilliant for the club as well as bad. Life is weird and in some places, like with people you meet, you can just click after a first meeting or visit, no one can explain it. Unfortunately his English football inexperience and seeming lack of presence or personality and his awful descision making the results are in - and he has been a failure. There is now no excuses for him, we could have unluckily lost a few games, equally we could have luckily won a few, but almost every week we have looked at best, 'playing well but looking poor in quality' when that happens this is the manager/coaches job to change things around, especially mid-game. He has failed. He must be replaced. The next manager better be average. Then we will improve.
