Can’t help but notice that Josh Sargent has 5 goals for Norwich this season even though they’ve been terrible so far. I know a few mentioned him as a signing in the summer - I wonder whether the board would go in for him in Jan & would people be happy to see us sign him? & would he even sign for us?

 

They do, playing lots of the top or in-form teams

Yep. Indeed, he's the exact type of signing that many Championship clubs could do with. Unlike Downs, who literally no Championship club could do with.

Oh just the thought of someone scoring a league hattrick for us. I still can't think of one since Mane got his two hattricks in relatively quick succession?

 

Think Norwich wanted in excess of £20m. Non starter at that price.

 

The Villa/City ones in 2016?

Christ was that really our last one. That's depressing.

 

Yeah. I can't be certain that I'm right, but I can't think of any other league hattricks since then. Lots of doubles, but not a treble.

Can't see one this season either so we'll probably go a full decade without one.

 

Very true, forgot he has a ludicrous fee attached to him. Just checked contract until 2028 too, guess he’s stuck at Norwich for the foreseeable then
