Read something the other day about Wes Streeting taking money from private healthcare companies while sorting out the NHS.

Hurrah someone has come onto the thread with an alternative point of view maybe now we will get some input from them instead of attacking individuals. Welcome ned werby.
So how do you think Starmer is doing?
And how you think he can turn it around, if he can he may get my vote.
Oh and by the way the misdoings were by the tory party this thread is about Starmer

Starmer's been dealt a **** hand, there's no doubt about that. But, he's not handling it as well as could be expected that's for certain also. He needs to get on top of the little stuff (and that list further up the thread can largely be defined as 'little stuff' imo - let's be honest who gives a flying one that Reeves' estate agent ****ed up the license thing - it's £975 for God's sake) so that he, and his cabinet, can focus completely on the 'big stuff' (deficit, nhs, education, law and order and yes, immigration).

They're not wholly mitigating factors but the wars in Ukraine and Gaza have meant resources which could have be used at home have had to be diverted away, Trump's tariffs have shagged the global economy, putting more pressure on markets which were previously free-flowing and world Politics (with a capital 'P') have never been so divided, there no consensus between red and blue anymore, just a media driven bull-bait to be 'right'.

We're in a post-truth world where facts are an inconvenience, social media is completely corrupt and politicians of all stripes have no real life experience of running a small company let alone a Government. Add to that the supposed 'leader of the free world' is a ****ing grifting idiot who seems hell-bent on corrupting all meaningful attempts to resolve the wars (he hasn't brokered a ceasefire in Gaza, he's given the Israeli's a breakwater so they can regroup before they go again - mark my words) then the UK government, along with the EU and NATO don't know which way to turn.

He's had 14 months, give him 24 before getting the pitchforks and tar out is my opinion, for better or worse - and it could be a hell of a lot worse.

After this I’m not commenting on an active reform member’s threads. For clarity I’m a member of no party and I’m not sure who I’ll vote for next time but I know two parties I wont vote for based on policy and ideology alone

World events do play a big part but he has gone about alot the wrong way his approach has been about foreign affairs without taking care of business at home.
The Chagos is a big thing as he shouts we've got no money but happily gives billions on that deal.
That deal did not have to happen at all money wise this country needs it.
The grooming gangs all he had to do was sanction the investigations to include arrests of the people covering it up.
All the decisions he is making which in the eyes of most people whether working class or not are detrimental to the safety and security of this great nation.
If people don't feel safe in there own country they will lash out.
Starmer is the target and will be unless he makes a massive u turn.
I know he has to keep his voters happy but you and I know his own voters have turned and just like football managers they want them out if they are failing or have failed.
We can shout he's not kept to his manifesto but how many manifesto promises are kept by any party in power.
The tory party destroyed themselves and Starmer is doing the same.
All in all the small things that are affecting people in this country become big things.
Small things fester and explode you know that.
He promised things he should not have done on the economy look how that is going to bite him on the arse.
The affect is working people suffer more.
Can we wait for another 24 months I think not.
We can talk about it but nothing changes it's like someone stated on another thread rinse and repeat.
Money wasted is also what gets voters backs up
So you will not be voting for Starmer or the tories.
What's wrong with active party members?
    Us Comrades should stick together.

I have been a Labour voter all my life, My overall feeling about Starmer is utter disappointment. The guy has a huge majority and a load of goodwill after the shambles of 14 years of the Tories. However, seemily every week he has chipped away at that goodwill where now they guy has lost every bit of respect and is now not fit for purpose. He is simply out of his depth...Sadly there is no alternative on the horizon from Labour and definitely not from any other party. Its a very sad situation
