R Dean Taylor was the only white Motown act at the time and this track is massive on the Northern Soul scene
The only time I saw the Fail they did ghost in my house , which was rare I was told as the bloke I went with had seen them over 50 times
I remember those days...just like arguments in pubs, they could last forever. I recall "what is a banana?" ran on my local for years. Fruit? Herb? Spice? Disgusting? Now, all you have to do, is Google it. It's a berry, the tree that it grows on, is a herb. Done.
Last night, we went to Bexhill see The Psychedelic Furs. Strange venue. Whenever we go there the weather is awful. Last night the wind was UP. Our previous visit was on a night of ridiculously prolonged, torrential rain. On the drive home, on an unlit road, we hit standing water and VERY nearly met our doom. The sound was shocking for the first track, but they got it sorted pretty quickly. No sax player . They're not the same without. I blame Todd Rundgren. It was the penultimate gig of a world tour and Richard Butler's voice was going and by the encore, it had gone. However, a good set covering their career evenly throughout its 48 years. It’s a shame that they didn't sell out last night or tonight's Palladium gig. This country just never loved them...they're huge in the states and elsewhere.
If you don't buy albums, merchandise or attend gigs , don't expect your favourite musicians to be around for long.....#****Spotify , #****Streamers https://www.instagram.com/reel/DOyfWKhknFy/?igsh=czNyejNtNGJ6c2ox
