Wycombe W...v...Plymouth A......3pm on Saturday...1st...Nov. This is Argyle's third successive away game of five on the trot.....Wycombe are W3...D2...L2 at home this season....with a 12-7 goal difference.......so maybe a chance if the right Argyle turn up. A good run in the Cup can kick-start a teams season....as well as being financially beneficial. No replays...extra time and then penalties if necessary . We have some good recent FA Cup memories.
Been a discussion on pasoti about the "Wycombe Way" that they used to play under Gareth Ainsworth.....that became notorious and hated by all and seen as anti-football. But that style changed under Matt Bloomfield.......but more recently Wycombe have fallen apart.....and in September Michael Duff has come in as their new manager.....so we're hoping that any new manager bounce is starting to wear off by now. So they're going through a transitional stage at the moment like us.....and doing slightly better than we are with a league position of....17th with 16pts from their 14 games. So just maybe we might have a chance....as long as we keep to a plan and do not fall to an early goal and then of course turn into the headless chicken that we become far to regularly.
