Referees also have a preference to reuse the same ball rather than change them if it's necessary. There was an instant second half where Ogie had picked another ball up to take a throw in but the referee enforced the previous ball to be used, so he had to trudge over and retrieve the previous one. I'm certainly not going be having a go at children.

A picture can say a thousand words...... only if the subject matter will sit still long enough to take a photograph...... and it would help if the subject matter actually exists !

Yesterday, I received an item I purchased online - a 'stocking filler' for one of our grandkids this Christmas - a handheld games consul, bought from a popular site.....It came missing the 2 Sim 'style' games cards.

On my laptop I logged into my purchase history - located the order transaction and noticed I could contact the seller via an online chat -- which I duly started..... I am mindful of the need to be brief - but - to provide exact information.... I stated the order came with complete contents except the games cards. I said I didn't want to return the item I had received - nor wanted a refund - but I did want the cards, without which the consul was useless to me..... I stupidly thought that the seller would understand !..........

    The seller replied - stating that they had confirmed the order subject to my enquiry and then asked;

Seller '' Can you upload a picture to support your enquiry.'' Me '' How can I do that - the cards are missing.. I can't take a picture of something that doesn't exist.'' Seller '' Can you take a picture of the items that came with the order.'' Me '' Why ? I do not have any problem with the items that have been sent with the order. My problem is with the item that haven't been sent - and I still cant send a picture of something I haven't got - if I could take a picture of the missing item - they wouldn't be missing.'' Seller '' Would you like to raise a query about your order and the action you require from the seller ?'' Me '' What ? I thought that's exactly what I was doing through this online chat - when the option I was given was to chat with the seller - isn't that you?''..... Seller '' Yes, I am the seller - but - the site rules state that you have to raise a query through the Website from where you placed your order - for them to monitor the actions taken by the parties involved.'. Me '' OK, I understand.. What will you do for me when I send you all of the same information - without any pictures of something which doesn't exist - but perhaps a short video of me searching inside an empty package ? '' Seller '' I will send you replacement games cards in the post.'' Me '' Can you include a photograph of the games cards - so that I know what should be in the envelope - just in case the games cards aren't inside, then I can provide Royal Mail details when I raise a postal query.''

What would be YOUR score ?........... at which you'd leave a game before the end ?
Last night, I watched West Ham v Brentford...WHU were quite terrible - and very lucky not to have been slaughtered... Around the 80th minute, Sky's cameras turned to the people in the stands - or rather - the many 'loyal' fans of The Hammers - who were obviously leaving the ground.... The cameras then showed pictures just outside the stadium - where droves of fans were heading well away !

The score was 'only' 0-1 against West Ham... As it turned out, another 15 minutes were to be played. Surely these fans could have had a little more faith in their team producing an equaliser - - obviously not !..... Perhaps they'll say they were justified - in not being in the ground to see Brentford score a ( deserved ) 2nd with the last kick of the game.-- although it did induce a mass stampede....... I've seen much excrement from The Gills - but - I wouldn't dream of leaving even one minute early if we were losing by a single goal.

I was wondering what score ( against The Gills ), would force you to say: '' Enough'', and leave before the final whistle ?...... I can recall only one occasion in my 63 years of watching The Gills... It was January 2022... Gills lost 2-7 at home v Oxford... After 48 minutes, Gills conceded their 4th goal, and were quite dreadful.... I decided that was enough for me - and I left (( with much vocal opinion given to the players as I headed for an open gate. ))..... I didn't feel guilty, or disloyal...In fact, in my defence, I showed more loyalty than Scally did a few seasons previously - when we lost 0-5 at Swindon --- where I was stupid enough to endure every minute (( which was too much for Scally's stomach. ))........... and why should football expect blind loyalty from the 'customers' ? --- If you're not getting any value for money, where else would you simply tolerate the crap and keep going back for more ? --- Seriously - where ??

Was never offside, VAR is a joke.

Don't ever remember leaving early, but to be perfectly honest many ocassion I've felt like going back to the pub and in the warm. I'm not sure it's even losing heavily that would be the problem for me, it's Peter Taylor leave one up tactics that tip me over the edge.

Anyway mate more importantly, we've got Salford at home this Saturday, Gary Neville's lot, if you have any plans of planting a St George Flag in the centre circle, can you give us all the heads up so we can have our camera phones at the ready. <whistle>

brb, I wouldn't use the centre circle when there's a perfectly good Gary Neville shaped anus into which I can plant the flag.

    Lets we forget !
I note that (( in the EPL - at least )), clubs playing their last Home league game before Remembrance Sunday, are laying wreaths, playing the Last Post etc - remembering those who have given their lives in conflicts...... What happened to the tribute' from GFC ? - who won't be in action at Priestfield until 15th., November..... I bet they won't forget to put up the Christmas tree............ if its' not already up !

It was a mistake...........honestly ......... spoken like a true hypocrite.!

We've all made mistakes in our lives - or had unfortunate accidents. Most of us won't be stripped of a Royal title as a consequence !
In many circumstances, if we are honest, we'd have to concede that greater care would have prevented many ' errors. ' ... I find it incredible that people often use drunkenness as mitigation for crime and antisocial behaviour...... who forced the drink down your throat ??.... Whilst we don't live in a perfect world, most errors of judgement can be avoided.............

But - there'll always be genuine, honest mistakes...unforeseen circumstances - where the result of an action or omission might result in some misfortune for totally innocent parties. ' In these events, as a technicality, someone will be deemed ' at fault. ' On these occasions I expect that the Law and society would show some compassion and mercy..... None of us would want to be punished for an honest mistake - or for an omission that genuinely wasn't known or obvious.

So - what should happen to a person who breaks the Law - AND lied about their ignorance of the facts ?
......Well - someone who didn't break the Law, now gets the chance to live under a different name : Andrew Mountbatten Windsor - and get a rent free house - and still could become King if 7 other people die before him !

Someone who DID break the Law is Rachel Reeves ! --- but - in the first instance, she could claim that it was a mistake... Even though she isn't my most favourite person, I can understand her ( initial ) defence... Although the issue of the Special Landlord licence was her responsibility, she left the 'formality' in the hands of her letting agents - perfectly normal as I see it.... HOWEVER --- Rachel Reeves LIED ((( which one I hear you ask ? )))

Reeves cannot defend herself by saying that she was unaware of the need for the Special Landlord licence - the emails between her, her husband & the letting agency, clearly shows that she did know the Law - and then chose to LIE and claim ignorance of the fact that a licence was needed...... This lie is made to look all the more ridiculous when it is known that Reeves has actively promoted the need for the same Specialist Licence for landlords.

I can accept honest mistakes by anyone - including Rachel Reeves - but - what I will not accept are LIES & DISHONESTY - in an obvious attempt to avoid sanction by the Law......

So - what should become of a dishonest 'Lawbreaker' ?...... According to our Prime Minister, '' Lawbreakers cannot be Lawmakers. '' - She's got to go.........
...... and take her colleagues (( and probably most of Parliament with her. ))

I don't think Rachel Reeves did break the law mate.

If I pay a solicitor or estate agent to do all the legal stuff for me, then that's what I expect and trust they would do.

When I last moved home, it wasn't until some years later I got contacted by my lawyers, it appeared on them checking their records there had been an error by the now retired solicitor, something which they had to put right at no cost to me.

Just a dotting the i's and crossing the t's exercise. Reeves expected her estate agent to do the same and I assume they are now in the process of doing that.

I get people can tend to get a little complacent and I'm the same, oh it's fine type of thing, that later comesback and bites you on the bum - my answer to this whole farce by the media is for her to say, sorry about that and I will donate one months rent to the local foodbank.

I think the actual fine can be up to a years rent, if they want to apply that then the estate agent needs to pay up, but it would still be a nice little touch with my added suggestion.

brb - my post gives Reeves more than enough discretion for the fact that her letting agency failed to do a job (( which, technically, was her legal duty )) -- we all expect our solicitors etc to do the jobs for which they are experts... Reeves was badly served - BUT - she chose to lie about an alleged lack of knowledge that a licence was required... Her ( & husband's emails - which she wrote clearly proves her lies ) - and the fact that her political position regarding the said licences doesn't just compound her lies -but makes her look more stupid ..... if that was possible.

.... and don't expect any apology any time soon - that would be an admission of guilt - and as we know - with Reeves the fault is all on Brexit, the Tories, the £20 Million black hole - in fact it's probably my fault......It may have started out as not her fault re the licence - but - nobody else forced Reeves to Lie. (( again.))
