On a recent holiday abroad there was a sign next to the pool which said “No large floaters in the pool”
Hotel in Rhodes was pretty decent, we had our own garden and pool… We didn’t actually use the pool, but it was nice to look at.
Having a cracking time in Japan, and what I wasn’t expecting is that it’s not too expensive. Just had a meal at a little vegan restaurant in Tokyo in a bit with the loads of expensive designer shops etc and 2 courses each for two of us, with Mrs Tash having one soft drink and me having a couple of large beers, was £33. Considering where is was that seemed very decent, and despite doing all the tourist spots I haven’t paid more that £5 a pint anywhere. EDIT - what reminded me was I’m sat in the hotel bar drinking FREE whiskey. A nice daily ‘very happy’ hour routine
Asahi Kirin Sapporo A fair few craft IPAs which are good. You can get more usual stuff of course but I’m sticking to local
Using my limited knowledge of the Japanese language, I believe that sign says "Hull Tigers Marketing Department - established by Assem Alam 2014".
That place was excessively cheap, but everywhere’s been cheaper than I expected, most cheaper than Hull and everywhere much cheaper than London
Virgin have just got the green light to launch a Channel Tunnel rail service, should shake things up a bit.
Just noticed an even cheaper bar, right opposite our hotel. Kirin beer…89p Like you I’d expected it to be pricey, especially in tourist areas of big Cities, but turns out not.
