Because they know most people won't bother putting their car in them and instead use it for storage?

Seriously how many people store their car in a garage? How many people are that organised that they can use that space for a car thats pefectly fine sat outside? I'm projecting a bit, I don't have a garage but know if I did it would have stuff stored in it, maybe be a home office and the car would be sat outside <laugh>

I keep my car in the garage.
Older house and garage, small car so fits okay.
Makes driing off on icy mornings a lot easier.

We live in a house built in the 80s. It had a good garage. Easily fit my car and other stuff in it.

But I really could never be arsed to put the car in it. Cars arent like the oldies that hated cold weather.

So I converted it to a cinema room when the kids were younger. We watched about 6 movies as a family before everyone got bored apart from me.

A few years later my eldest took it as his bedroom. It is soundproofed and he is a musician so ideal. It is now his bedroom / bands recording studio. Great for him and us.

House valuers reckon we have lost value on the house though without a garage!

Cheaper insurance if it's parked in garage

Mines full off Christmas decorations, decorating crap, all the kids old ****e, our lasses boxes of old clothes and her running machine and rowing machine. I’ve got one box of old records and LPs and every 3 or 4 weeks I get told I need to clean all my ****e out of the garage ‍♂️
If she used the running and rowing machine she might have the energy to empty the twat herself

Before I moved house I used to have 2 garages both in a garage block built in the 50s. Me and the missus both kept our cars in the garage. When we moved house we only had a single garage and my car didn’t fit - well I could park but couldn’t open any doors to get out <laugh>
Seems like modern garages are getting smaller and modern cars are getting wider <doh>
My car now lives on the driveway and the missus uses the garage. It really irks me in winter when I’ve got ice on the inside of the windscreen, but maybe I just need a new car.

Cant understand why some leave their car outside while having a garage.
Old banger maybe , but a modern expensive model WHY.

My garage is full of crap! Old toys, old bikes, snooker table, random stuff left over from DIY projects and so on. I'm in the process of clearing it all out and turning it into a gym.

I looked round a new build years back and it didn't even have a full length garage. It was about three quarters of a car length and the bonnet tucked in a hole underneath the stairs!

I struggle with carports. People putting them under there so they don’t get wet, then they drive them in the rain. Mental.

I used to have a garage but the kids converted it into a dumping ground. Tip runs are part of the norm now.

There's a ping pong table in there somewhere ffs. Who the **** plays PING ****ING PONG :emoticon-0121-angry

I'm ambidextrous. I find it easier serving with the bat in my left hand but then switch the bat to my right hand to play the rest of the game. That amused my bairns no end on holidays :emoticon-0102-bigsm
