Indeed, the time when Mike Attanasio tweeted approvingly on X about everyone being on the same page .......
So after the meeting where top 6 was probably still achievable the manager and players decided to tank results and fail the objective?

Anyone listening to Radio Norfolk tonight? Punchy first question from Bridget, covering all topics. Manning was hired for his track record in English football and that doesn’t change in the space of 12 games, Manning will remain in post for the time being. Knapper also being assessed but no immediate plans for changes. Mark Attanasio reveals that the River End changes have now been put on pause in order to hold proper fan consultation which he admits should have taken place before announcement, several potential options to be explored with fans. Attanasio regrets Nunez move to Ipswich but doesn’t want to get directly involved in footballing decisions, leave those to the experts and he will provide the finance
Fans probably don’t want to hear about patience but I think Attanasio is right to, as he says, get his hands around the executive team to understand what is wrong and what is right and what can be improved. Also for me it’s a good sign that he has come in to face the music rather than hide away, and also worthy of note shares a lot of the concerns of the fans and doesn’t treat them like idiots.
I thought this was well said as well: "Nobody wants to hear this - but young players take years. The jury will be out for three plus years. People will tie that to 'you're going to wait three years on Ben', but the number one issue we have is the injury issue. That is serious injury issues where the players we bring in get injured and the availability is the worst in the entire Championship. When that is the case, you have a problem. We need to look at that on a global level. We have a group in who have given us guidance from our friends at Liverpool to look at injury prevention. We have a consultancy to look at how to right this so we don't have all these soft tissue injuries."
He's right there's far to many so called fans, some on here, that think if you buy a young player and he doesn't immediately show potential within a few months then he's a flop and it's somebody's fault. The truth is when you're buying young players, especially with our budget, it in can take several seasons for them to come good and turn in consistently good performances , which is why I'm guessing most are on 4 year contracts. Yes there's always the odd exception, like a Rooney, but these are few and far between. Unfortunately many a good young players development has been disrupted or ruined by, so called fans, need for instant success.
My conclusion after listening to Canary Call is that there will be a lot of people at Carrow Road and Colney nursing injuries in the aftermath of hurricane Mark. He may not have acted now, but when he feels ready to make his calls, action will swiftly follow. I also liked his comment that the fates of Knapper and Manning are now inextricably linked. I half expected him to reference Doolittle's Pushmi-Pullyu ........
That's true, and it also includes other executives like Zoe Webber as he made it very clear that he's not going to let anyone pull the wool over his eyes.
Agreed he seems to be taking his time to get a feel for things and people around the club before making an informed decision rather than a snap decision
That wasn’t Attanasios decision though, I think he was quite clear in that he let’s Knapper make the footballing decisions, as he should of his Sporting Director, that way he is giving Knapper room to succeed or hang himself with his own decisions.
My fear is that giving Knapper too much rope to hang himself means (at least in the short term), we're doomed to relegation before we have time to fix the issue.
I don't want to start another argument with the forever optimists on here so, for once, I will keep it brief. I expected bugger all out of the visit so I was not disappointed. A load of meaningless waffle!! I sincerely hope that Manning and Knapper turn things round but I am not holding my breath and just when I thought that things couldn't get any worse I see rumours of Donkey Duffy getting a recall. Ye Gods!!!!
