    Can't believe that no-one has yet mentioned the sale of, forum favourite, White Birch for 300,000 gns. Will be going into training with that old rogue Jamie Osborne (the underbidder was an associate of WP Mullins).

    Osborne really surpassed even his usual incoherent ravings by announcing that the 5YO would be gelded, travelled around the world and then aimed at a Listed race at Royal Ascot!!!

    Is this the right approach??? How would you campaign the Group 1 winner who's last run was in the Arc???

    Just wait until he turns up as an 11 year old off a mark of 56 at Wolves.

    If he stays with old boy Osborne I'd suspect White Birch's mark will be down to 56 well before his 11th birthday.

    Such sad news to hear of the passing of 19 year old Tommy Jakes. Thoughts are with family and friends. Far far far too young. <peacedove>
