I have to admit that although he's a smashing lad I'm a bit disappointed. He's a wonderful musician, studied jazz at Boston, won a scholarship to America's top jazz college in New York, the first time I heard him playing standards really well he was 11. Music can be a precarious way to make a living so I don't blame him one bit. I just hope he's also playing stuff he likes.

Very jealous of any musician- such a talent, love listening to my son play the guitar. I had to learn cello at school and hated it -it kind of put me off learning any other instrument which I now regret

As Chet Atkins said, If you're very lucky in life someone will put a guitar in your hands when you're young. I did caddying and paper rounds to buy my first guitar for £5 when I was 14, and it's great for open mikes. I always enjoyed watching my son draw, by the time he was 7 he was better than me.

Not sure Fingers Mouse will be allowed anymore - the nanny state seems to be tightening up on all forms of pornography

I'm so sick of mood music in documentaries. It's getting louder and louder. I had a look at Human on Iplayer, and the music is so loud you can hardly hear some of the commentary. I won't watch the rest of the series. Absolutely ghastly.

    Black Rabbit is superb tellybox.

Jude Law is actually very good in it, even with the New York accent.

    Bateman steals the show, though.

Watched the Kenny Dalglish film last night. What a player he was.

Seen any good <monster> scary movies so far this Halloween season? <ghost>

    I haven't.
I prefer the creepy ones rather than gore-fests.
Ghost stories rather than serial killer movies.

A good one from quite a few years back was Ghost Story with Fred Astaire & Douglas Fairbanks.
I also liked the TV adaptation of The Green Man with Albert Finney.
Must admit I kind of liked Halloween III, as I thought it had an original idea - a demonic toymaker channeling ancient forces to murder millions of people on Halloween night in America with a TV broadcast.
And I thought Dan O'Herlihy was good as the villain. Directed by John Carpenter too, who also directed The Fog, another good chiller ghost story.
