I think Kinsky called for it, so Danso left it. He put the ball out for a corner in the first half when Kinsky came out and they scored from it. Poor communication in a match that the keeper shouldn't have been playing in.
I think he probably had to, to be honest. Can’t be starting him in CL or Prem. Domestic cups are the only viable ones I’d say. Should've been loaned out in the summer though.
Should've just played Vicario until January and then bring someone in. Kinsky needs to play regularly at his age and can't be expected to come in every 10 games or so. He's not got the experience and he won't get it unless we have another disaster. So, expect him to play for the next 20 games until he gets injured too, I guess!
I didn’t say he did, but he was not fit for purpose. He got too many decisions wrong, and premier league teams deerve better
So a professional PL ref got too many decisions wrong according to a random (unbiased) supporter. Must say i`m convinced.
Disappointing result gutted we are out of the cup but the performance in general was decent. We had some really promising attacks but we don’t have Kane and Son level of players now ( stating the obvious ). Richy and Johnson need to go over the next two windows and we need top quality in . Kulu back will help change the dynamic of the team, Xavi at least showed some promise last night although he does get knocked off the ball too easily. Thought Kinsky’s distribution was top drawer but was poor especially for the second goal. Just proves Vicario is undisputed number 1. Thought Palinha, Spence and Porro were good and Muani showed his quality. Injuries are mounting up big game against Chelsea coming up. Don’t want to see Richy and Johnson anywhere near the starting lineup.
Easy to blame a stand-in keeper who hasn't had a game in ages for not communicating well with a make-shift defence. Definitely at fault for the 2nd but otherwise he played ok, looked calm and confident for the most part and claimed crosses. Should we have better 1st and 2nd choice? Very likely, but both have weaknesses. Ironically if you could merge them into one you'd have a bloody good keeper!!
Can anybody confirm or deny if Paul Scholes used to holiday in Brazil when he was a player? As that would go a long way to explaining why Bruno and Joelinton seem to be immune to getting sent off for the challenges they routinely chuck about
Keeper was poor for both goals on what I saw, but a lot of that is down to lack of game time. As stated by a few of my esteemed colleagues on here, he simply needs to play more. My gut feeling is send him out on loan in January as he'll never really improve if he's on the bench. Tricky position though in all fairness to get right... ..
This is where the lack of a Friedel/Forster option in the squad stick out, because while having somebody who will be a potential No1 2-3 years down the line is good squad building, sometimes you simply need somebody who can keep clean sheets in their sleep on hand
Unless you're saying he was to blame for the corner being conceded, which is arguably the case, I'm not sure how he could be criticised for the first. It was a great delivery into the box and a header into the corner. His starting position was a couple of yards off his line, but was central, so I can't see how he could have got to the header. No argument with the 2nd!! But he's a young keeper who should either have gone out on loan, or if trusted as a number 1 allowed a decent run of games. I'm really not sure how good he can be, but bench-warming with the very occasional 90 is no way to help him develop.
