1-0 HT. Really not very good.
Started poorly and gave away a **** goal with the help of a **** ref.
Improved after that but still didn't create enough and barely tested the keeper.

Easily the worst signing pound for pound we've ever made.

Yes, Ndombele will come to mind, but there was a certain logic in signing him.

We knew before picking up the phone just how poor Pigeon is, yet we went and broke our transfer record for him.

    Baffling.

How many times has Richarlison missed at the back post, he has no anticipation

It's hard to see how he got this far in the game. A new Bent

    What an odd half....
Played some good stuff and looked quite comfortable, but conceded a poor goal (defensively) and once again we have no striker to concert the chances.
Xavi just can't make any sort of positive impression and Richarlison is tragically inept.

Some of the refereeing decisions have been questionable, although I don't think he was wrong to allow play to continue for their goal.

Edit - having seen the boot 'issue', I think the ref should have waited. Spence had to be given the time to sort out the problem.

Too early to write Simons off. He is trying and winning free kicks. Richarlison ... I have no words. every time he gets clattered he lies there. Quite a few times team mates have yelled at him to get on with it. Little shoots of hope though starting to make some chances.

Who shall we ask about the game?
How about two ex-Newcastle players who left for bigger clubs? <doh>

As impressive as Newcastle are going forward they look vulnerable at the back

Has anyone else noticed Bergvall pushed Danso causing him to miss the ball for their goal?

He was pushed himself, but it's pretty standard on non-VAR games.
The ref's not going to call that, especially this bent ****.

Willock should've buried that. Very poor marking.

The more I see of Kinsky, the more I wonder why Spurs signed him. Awful
