League form: WDLWLW. Ref: Chris Kavanagh. VAR: Not in use for this round. TV: Sky Sports. How would you like to line up for this one and how do you think we actually will line up?
Rotating the FBs is going to be difficult, I suspect, so Gray might get shoved out there even though we all want to see him have a run in midfield. Porro is really important for us right now so maybe he’ll get a rest. Thinking it might be something like: Kinsky Spence Danso VdV Gray Sarr Palhinha Bergvall Johnson Richarlison Tel
Hope to see Ju'nai Byfield get a cameo, just so he gets a Wikipedia page after the various games he's been an unused sub
Agree with most of this, but would like RKM to start and get some more serious minutes in. He's still building his fitness so don't want to waste his time on the bench.
Think this'll be too tough a game for us to get through with our missing players tbh... just hoping we are competitive and push them hard.
I can’t see him starting a midweek game after starting the weekend if he’s building up. More likely he comes off the bench then starts at the weekend again.
I think both teams will rest players where they can. With our injuries in defence (including gray now if reports are to be believed) means I can’t see any change unless Udogie is fit. I assume we’ll see one or both of Sarr and Bergvall come in. Should stick with RKM up top to get him some more minutes and wouldn’t be surprised if kudus is rested and Johnson stay on the right. Tel possibly to come in on the left as well but can see Xavi starting again being he only got 60 minutes Saturday. Assume keepers will be rotated as well.
Sounds like we can rule Gray out of the game, out for around 4-8 weeks with a calf injury according to a few whispers. Even with Chelsea on the weekend, I’d like us to try and win another cup so I’d hope we take this one quite seriously and go fairly strong but with the aim of subbing key players off around 60-65 mins regardless of score. Kinsky Porro, Danso, Micky, Spence Sarr, Palhinha Kudus, Bergvall, Richarlison Kolo Those in bold are who’d I’d try getting off around the hour mark.
I can see it now the Tottenham stock photo of (insert player name ) in a hospital beds with thumbs up
I'd be surprised if Tel doesn't start in some capacity. He can't play in Europe, so we should be using him when he can play.
