Fingers crossed Rooch. We are going to need his strength at times, holding onto the ball and bringing others into the game. He is built like a young Mike Tyson :emoticon-0102-bigsm

    I can't agree tbh mate.

He tackled, tracked back and kept Cucurella from making progress.

He also put the ball across the six yard line twice, put the ball right on Ballard's head, had an on target shot and made the goal ...

... I think he'll be fine with time.

He and Brobbey did look nervous to be fair, but they're new and it was a massive game.

Has Brobbery got a song yet? If not, we need to make one for him.

The first thing that sprung to mind was that ****e Mr Blobby song, but I'm high on drugs and he deserves better than that!

Brian Brobbey’s on my mind and he’s Sunderland’s number 9. Same tune as the Ellis Simms song.

He has hardly been in the pitch mate, how could you have judged him at all? Even after that assist at the weekend which was class, its still too soon!

People seem to be worried that he isn’t playing thinking we signed a dud! I don't think he was signed to come in and be first choice anyway. I reckon he was bought with the thoguht of we have time with him as Isidor and Mayenda have looked fine, he replaced Guiu but he is ours so all developing is for our benefit imo!

I think he will be eager for a start but can't drop Isidor, I'd be worried if Isidor had been ****e and he still wasnt getting on but as it is he is looking very good so Brobbey will have to be patient!

What a position to be in, it seemed like we struggled for a striker for a long time and now it seems we have 3 very promising strikers who all offer something different!

Right not having a striker for, what?, four years was something we just accepted. Having good players is just another form of cheating really.

Don't want any deluded mags thinking I'm for real. If they had beaten Chelsea away I have no doubt they would be talking about the title already.

That was my attempt at humour

I've looked at the winning goal and the celebrations ...

... I honestly believe Brobbey was just overwhelmed.

From all accounts he's had a stressful time and his future was only decided at the end of the window.

After all that, being in front of that explosion of noise must've been quite emotional.

    Oh right, wasn't catching that!

I used to work there a long time ago and they really are a strange breed. A great many of them seemed like nice normal people but at the same time they had this weird superiority complex lurking just under the surface.
