Brighton manager Fabian Hürzeler could be without as many as six players for the clash, leaving him with plenty to ponder ahead of the visit of Daniel Farke’s men. The Seagulls are definitely missing three key figures. Winger Solly March, often a thorn in Leeds’ side in previous meetings, remains sidelined with a long-term knee injury that could keep him out for the rest of the year. Towering defender Adam Webster is another confirmed absentee as he continues his recovery from knee surgery, while England U21 defender Jack Hinshelwood is also on the treatment table with an ankle problem. Not a chance 49ers would employ Rodgers now. In fact his outbursts against Celtics directors over last few months will make many owners wary of employing him. I admire his straight talking but wonder is that as much about covering his own arse and ensuring his reputation remains intact. Anyway irrelevant as he’s no better than Farke or maybe even as good
Rodgers does seem to leave a bad taste where ever he manages,, reputed to have a very big ego. Strangely over the weekend a group chat i'm in, which as fans of quiet a few clubs, the 2 Wolves fans that are in it, both said after their game on Sunday, they had heard Rodgers had been approached by them, most took the piss but could there be something in it, or just a coincidence. Brighton have an unbelievable record agaist us, especially down there, infact i dont think weve actually scored at the Amex and its something like 2 wins in the last 19/20 games against them, a point eould be a very good one for us. Have to say, I was shocked at the booing of Jimmy, seemed to work though, he was hardly in the game.
Agree on Rodgers. He always seems to be enjoying himself when his teams are winning but never his fault when they’re not. Need Aski here but I think we scored at the AMEX the year they got promoted. Was at the game after being at a charity fund raising Christmas do for the rest of the day. If hazy memory serves me correctly, Kalvin got sent off for handball on the line. They scored the penalty and then made it 2-0. I lost interest and went to make sure the corporate bar staff weren’t lonely during the second half but seem to remember a murmur of excitement near the end. That was a long day, too old for all that nonsense now
Matt, you need to stop getting back together with exes bud ... then again, if you keep flashing that sausage pic I can see why Brendan Rodgers has the ability to be a very good Prem manager, but maybe his temperament falls short when the chips are down Not sure that 49ers are in any hurry to sack Farke, and results/performances so far don't warrant sack talk ... if Leeds are bottom three come January then 49ers will change their manager There's still a long way to go, and things are going to get difficult ... West Ham have too many decent players to keep struggling (their toxic fans may well sink them) ... Forest will be more solid ... Sunderland need probably six more wins to be safe ... Brentford are doing fine despite their manager ... Burnley seem to have settled down thanks to Leeds handing them a confidence boosting win Wolves are really the only team that look in real trouble because they lack quality all over the pitch ... they've lost their best players and now they look very ordinary Strap in, it's going to get very bumpy

Brighton scored to make it 2-1 and Michael Brown equalised in 65 minute We havent scored in the 7 games since Year before, Sept 2011 game ended 3-3 at the Amex. Went 2-0 up then 3-2 down and McCormack equalised in 90 minutes

Not bad indeed considering the joviality started mid morning and carried on until the early hours. What I do remember is the "Merry Men" function I was at had north of 200 blokes in jackets and ties eating, drinking, singing and buying things they didn't want or need for ridiculous sums of money. Anyway, the room had a smattering of people you really wouldn't want to cross. One of them was Mad Frankie Frasers son who came and stood next to me at the bar and looked at me. By far, he was the most intimidating person I have ever met. When I say he looked at me, his eyes were like a shark, dark and lifeless, he neither looked at me nor through me. I honestly went a bit cold. Actually, I got even colder when we got the lift to the AMEX and had to walk the last mile or so to the ground. Beside the seaside, beside the sea my arse, it was absolute brass monkeys. Twas a long drive home the following day!!
Bloody hell, that’s an awful lot of Guinness I’m going to have to drink . On the Brendan Rodgers thing, he reportedly resigned because he felt he wasn’t being financially backed in the transfer market. Given ours and Wolves money situation I wouldn’t expect him to joining either of us. Plus their manager just signed a new contract, which they would have to pay off.
