Joseph’s pressing caused their defender to cough up the ball, which directly led to the goal.
He’s definitely lacking in a few areas but he’s doing his bit, in the best way that he can to help get us results at the moment, which we really need with all of the injuries we have currently.

I'm pretty confident we'll see Joseph left and Destan through the middle. Sergej doesn't seem to trust Ndala, particularly away from home.

Gives Destan his chance, hopefully he grabs it!

Strange one. He was looking reasonable early days.

Can’t Hull people get up early? Plenty of fans at other clubs travel that far and more for early kick offs. I know a number from Scarborough and Brid who will manage to travel further to get there. They have been to every away game this season and will be at Derby for the midweek game when no doubt we won’t take many because it is a working day.

I liked the look of Ndala. His biggest issue is that he only goes one way to beat his man, which obviously becomes predictable.

When he came on to help protect the lead against Leicester he seemed a bit too aggressive with the ball too and lost it a few times, so I guess he's still a bit too inexperienced.

The game I saw him play, he went past his man 3 times in the first half, dropping his left shoulder and cutting inside. Second half, their fullback read him every time.

This is what I feel, if we can get the first goal, then that might dent any bit of confidence they have.

Getting the first goal would be very nice as it’ll ramp up the pressure on them but I can’t get Sargent out of my head as first goal scorer, he always scores against us, the twat (I’d love him in our squad)!

Considering that the vast amount of our first choice attacking talent is likely to be out for all three games 6 points would be a massive achievement, but we have Sergei, and for me in some ways he’s the nearest we’ve had to Nigel Pearson, so I’m going for all nine :emoticon-0165-muscl

I reckon 1 point from the next 3 games and a heavy feeling of doom and gloom.

I agree that Joseph has been doing his bit (and more) but thought he was off it on Saturday. I think it’s a bit of a stretch to give him that much credit for our goal.

He was ahead of the ball when their defender took possession, he closed him down, Crooks got a toe in and Joseph almost got in Gelhardts way before he scored.

I think the energy Joseph had expended himself over the 3 games maybe just ran out of steam. This isn’t a Joseph bashing post, we just need more out of him on Saturday if we’re going to get anything g out of the game.

I posted in the thread, once Geldhart got on the ball, both Joseph and Crooks just stood there watching. Both really ought to have been busting a gut to get left and right of the keeper to offer a simple pass and tap in, or at least be there ready for any rebound. But they both just stopped.

If Sergei doesn't rate him enough to play him in our current injury crisis then he needs to go back in January and replace him with a loanee that he does. A shame though, I thought he looked a handful when he played.
