People also moan about the income of British MP’s. Maybe it’s all politicians. Not sure why the Kinnocks are leeches though when they just did a job and got paid. The issue for me is always that politicians should ensure the lowest paid get paid more rather than making implications the poorest are workshy.
I think it is all politicians and all parties. Look at how little difference there is between successive governments or senior MPs. It is like copy and paste for journalists just replacing the party name. I think one of the real problems is front bench MPs get hugely under paid. Imagine if we offered them a multi million pound salary with performance related pay. We might actually get some people capable of running a hugely complex organisation like a nation. Instead of the endless stream of folk highly underqualified. I saw Ed Milliband interviewed recently about taxation in energy companies and the impact it has on prices. It was terrifying to see how so little he understands. The interviewer looked genuinely perplexed and like he was having to explain things to a child. We have suffered awful MPs and leaders in Westminster for many many years now. They all seem to toodle off afterwards and make their money as speakers, or envoys, or who knows what else. Time for some genuine public debate about what we want from a govetnment I think. And I dont mean politicians talking about what they will do. They prove over and over again to be untrustworthy. I mean a public debate, led by those who really understand what is needed and what it will take. It wont be too long before it is too late.
Can I ask you 1 question please,? Do you agree with illegal immigrants coming to the UK and been given financial benefits, after not contributing anything, and just taking the P.
Whataboutry but aside Kinnock is x1,000,000 of Farage. Look at his response to the racism in his party. If he is not a racist he is certainly condoning it.
Immigrants are allowed to work when they have been given status, Are they spongers if they want to get a job and a home but the system won’t let them despite there being jobs. You can amend the system. Interesting that there are people calling out people who cost the system but spend all day providing financial ‘advice’ for the wealthy.
I was in hospital yesterday. Going on assumptions based on skin colour and accents. The surgeon and one of the nurses were white British. The anaesthetist, her assistant and all the other nurses who looked after me were foreign and potentially immigrants themselves or from immigrant descent. Where would the NHS be if it wasn't for immigrant workers? Can't fault the care at all. They were all lovely friendly people who put me at ease and really looked after me. It doesn't matter where someone comes from, it's the level of care that counts.
