Because you have no credibility in this area; you say it all the time and regardless of the result or how we're playing. You are "negative" whether we win, lose or draw, play well or ****, etc. I'm not having a pop at you here, just saying.
Which is propaganda of the worst kind Wanting perfection and the best for the club is not negativity. People just cant handle the fact some people can see where there are issues
It is shocking at the moment, but these are top players and we have to hope we can sort this out over the months ahead. We need a settled system where players know what their role is and we absolutely must stop using Sbozo as a full back. He is our best player at the moment. Get Grav back in the correct place and Macca back to something like his old self and get the spine of the team right
No. No more than we were going to romp the league when we won our first five games. We are going to struggle to make Top 5 and get to the knockout stages of the CL, though, and struggle enormously. I honestly believe there's worse to come before we turn this around.
it;s not so much who we bought but the numbers of first team squad members who left has left us really light on options / cover imo
Honesty from Andy Robertson's after the loss to Brentford... "We were just a yard off it... We’ve worked on the long-throw and everything, and five minutes in you concede three long throw-ins. One of them you concede from. It’s not good enough, you play into their hands and have got an uphill battle from there. Kept fighting but nowhere near good enough. "We didn’t play our (gameplan) at all... If we expect that, then we’re in big bother... You’re 3-1 down and it’s just about throwing bodies forward and it becomes chaotic. There’s no structure to it which is never good... if we got a draw today it would have probably flattered us. "We’ve got to work harder. In training, in games, recovering better. When you’re at this football club, people demand results... The results have been nowhere near good enough over the last five or six games." https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1JhdxdznaC/
We've got to stop conceding first. Don't know if its because we're not switched on from minute one or because we trying to score early, but whatever it is conceding that first goal (usually early) means we're having to stretch and play too open for the rest of the game in an attempt just to get level. Next few games we need to be solid for the first 20-30mins and then build into the game. We probably need to be boring for a while to get back to the levels needed.
Its pussy ball Its nowt to do with trying to score. Did you see thebstste of how they got that long throw in the first place. Bullshit ball out to him and him being that thick **** not able to keep a ball on the park. Its all self inflicted. Get in their grills. Impose yourself. Chiesa came on and put himself about. Seriously watching kerkez trying to defend two while gakpo fancied about. Its simply.not good enough
If I were an opposition manager, I'd be sending my players out all guns blazing at the start against us. We've been slow starters ever since Slot arrived.
I only saw the second half. Great goal from Salah from a fine assist. We left it very late to start putting in effort to try and score. It was never a penalty. The only way to right the wrongs of poor officiating is to keep scoring which we can't seem to do atm. It's easier to find a way through with one or two players in poor form but harder when it's the whole team, Szoboszlai aside. I'm not sure what to make of this new keeper, he's enormous but somehow makes himself smaller. He's not commanding his area at all. Has made some good saves though.
He should have done better with Ouattara's goal. Ali would have closed him down better - but then Ali is arguably the best in the world at one-on-ones. I hope some of it rubs off on Mamar.
I dont think so. I looked at that goal and if ali came out there was no touch the lad made that would allow him smother the ball. Alisson moves when you take thst touch. That's his trigger. He stands up big then the second you take that next touch he closes the ground before you can fire it. There was no real opportunity to get there.
But he backed off, and that gives the striker more goal to aim at. At least he might have forced him wide and given Konaté a small chance of getting back. Mamar was always up against it, but I think he made the wrong decision - retreating gave him no chance at all.
I missed their first two goals and haven't watched any highlights from the game, for obvious reasons. He seems to jump for a save a second too late. His movement isn't as fluid as Alisson either who's great at anticipating. New team, new league, let's see how it goes until Alisson gets back.
