Only off the bottom because of Massive Basket Case FC, no home wins all season, not won in eight. What could possibly go wrong. Poor record there anyway which makes it look a difficult place to go regardless.
Sacking Thorup was a ridiculous decision. They didn’t have a great season last year and they went on a poor run of form leading up to him being sacked but he should’ve had more time. This season, they poached Manning from Brizzle because he got them play-offs and they’ve spent a decent amount on new signings and they look infinitely worse than they did under Thorup.
May be misremembering, but last year the away game Vs Norwich is the only game that stands out where we got absolutely hammered, even in a season of poor performances it stands out as a low point, a couple of other times in recent seasons Norwich away sparks memories of being thoroughly out played.
Always been an absolute graveyard for us - only remember winning once in my lifetime (Bullard) - seem to usually get bully rammed. They've been out of sorts and are dog **** at home but do have good players across the team = typical City?
On paper, their squad is quality. Their keeper, Darling, Mattsson, Topić, Kvistgaarden, Crnac, Jurásek, Sargent to name a few are all decent players. They should be nowhere near the bottom. Most podcasters and pundits predicted that City and Norwich’s current positions would be reversed.
Was there when we ended a massive run of not winning away for ages and Cairney scored, is that same game? Slim pickings either way . Only other decent memory there is Leon Cort first goal at 33/1
Norwich have done me twice out of treble bets already this season, they drew when I didn't want 'em to.
How many points would we be happy with out of... Norwich (away) Derby (away) Portsmouth (home) Before the international break. Personally, I would be happy with 5. Anything above would be awesome given our injuries.
