To think we were 4th even before RA came in, and that excludes clubs like Milwall and West Ham who have always hated us.

This had our main rivals down as Arsenal, 2nd Spuds and 3rd United. I think Spuds perhaps slipped down the pecking order simply because beaten them was a given, it just happened, just like sun rise, Arsenal was the team we could never beat and I admit I hated them for it.

I am quite a young Chelsea fan but I would say main rivals for me in 2003 were:

    First: Arsenal
    Second: West Ham
    Third: Spurs

    Now I would say:

    First: Spurs
    Second: Liverpool
    Third: Arsenal/West Ham

Whilst Man U are a team I hate, I do not consider them a rival. They aren't really a proper football club anyway but more importantly I don't feel the same kind of hatred for them as I do with Leeds and even moreso Liverpool. I would also say there is a rivalry with Milwall. I'm not so sure about QPR or Fulham, I think there is a disliking to them from a few Chelsea fans but not a rivalry as such. I think Chelsea-Liverpool is what United-Arsenal used to be, the north-south divide and obviously the fact we played Liverpool 24 times in 5 seasons.

What are the views on everybody else on rivalries and who our rivals are?

I actually like Fulham. Good chaps. To be honest, for me it has to be-

    1-Spurs
    2-Liverpool
    3-QPR

    Liverpool is a family thing.

I'm with Varier, like Fulham fans and they've always been alright to me. Strange really considering how close we are.

    1. Spurs
    2. United
    3. QPR

I have a strong dislike for certain le Arse fans aswell <whistle>

It is sad that people come on here claiming to "hate' others because they don't follow the same team. Jesus wept. Get a life you losers.
Liverpool " fans ' keep going on about "History " when that is exactly what their team is today. History, yesterday, not now , in the past. Look up History in the Dictionary. If you can't spell dictionary, ask your Mum.
OK? We all get it, but do you ?? You have been good in the past. So what ?? What about now ?? Now is where we all live.
Just like this network, it's only a game. Get out more. Stop trying to claim personal glory for what a team did years ago ,with no imput from you.

I happen to disagree and think United is as much a proper football club as any. They just have a massive following of glory hunting / arm chair fans. Even Roy Keane knew this referring to the prawn sandwich brigade.

Case in point, I work in an office in Hertfordshire. Most supported club...Manchester United then Spurs and then...Liverpool. FFS.

It was just a WUM, I had hoped to reel in some of the United WUMs we usually get on here but your okay <party>

I much prefer your lot to Liverpool and Leeds anyway. I know a few genuine United fans and to be fair your lot had good support even when you were in the 2nd division for a brief spell <ok>

This is something that changes by the season, these days. Many years ago when we didnt win much we always thought of the Fulham game as our bit of rivalry. Nowadays its any side thats blocking our way to the PL title. Regularly its been MU and Arsenal, but this year they've been joined by MC and Spuds!

<ok>.Happen to agree with 100 years of History.Love United but hate the money making aspect of it.Been to OT a few times for matches an when you look around, you do realise how many are there doing the tourist thing. Also went on the Stadium Tour for once which was good...until the end when the tour conveniently ended up at the Megastore.

try stop claiming glory from what a team did 3 years ago, all that money and fk all to show for it<ok>
I think you could talk your own clubs failures and those of yer corporatebox fans before yawning on about history which I hear more from ye than our own even mancs have dropped the history one as it got boring, we have more supporters hence we are a bigger club, success and history obtains supporters, which is why ye have fk all andhave gained many new supporters in the past 5 6 years

The real support IMO is at away games. United do have a very hardcore element of fans, I admire the way they bounced back as a club after the Munich Air Crash and admire the fact that they produced a lot of good youth players, something which Liverpool have never done.

Whilst you devalued the FA Cup and killed it as a competition IMO you at least didn't cause the same damage to English Football that Liverpool did in the 80s/early 90s <ok>
