I watched the match on premier sports Ireland.
After the match their interviewer asked Talbi if they expected to do so well, he replied, “Of course, we are Sunderland, we have many great players” in his serious voice. Loved it!

    From the Telegraph ...

"A word must go to Sunderland’s brilliant fans. There will not be many louder sets of away supporters at Stamford Bridge this season and they were loudly cheering every kick and header long before the winning goal. Like their team, they are a welcome addition to the Premier League and put some of the sleepy Chelsea fans to shame."

They keep quoting how much money we've spent, as if that means we're somehow cheating <laugh>

I always get the feeling that we were a poorly run club (probably a understatement) for such a long time pundits, journos etc... even players signing have spent a couple of decades seeing us as a bit of a joke. It going to take a while to completely turn that around! Even the 10 years we stayed in the premier league we stank out the place for at least the last 4 or 5 seasons! We were seen as a retirement home for players who didn’t give a toss!

This team is completely different, the club is completely different but those old memories are there. Merson praised the team probably more than he has ever said anything positive about this club ever! I he could count in when hand how many times he has spoke positively about the club in his time being a pundit.

I think a lot of pundits are seeing it but opposition fans we are still Sunderland just promoted through the play off 24 points behind blah blah blah.

**** em all, I don't think any team will find it easy against the lads this season and I couldn't give a **** what pundits or other fans say about it!

Always thought he would suit the PL better due to his off the shoulder runs and his knack for always getting a shot off and taking every half chance he got to have a shot.

It was always just the hold up, using his body and winning headers that needed to come and by Wilson’s own words, the new American coach has been doing just that with them. Learning how to be more physical.

Isidor has improved in this area every single game. Priceless for us atm. You need a striker like him in the side.

Shame for Brobbey mind as he will be dying for a start to properly show what he’s got haha

Think he’s been a miss for us I will say. He hadn’t done anything special but I thought he was looking so so good. Gonna be huge him when he’s back for us

Don't forget mate, normal people never come into contact with anyone in football.

Remember Malaga wasn't chatting with Xhaka in his hotel, you never speak to Mrs RLB and I didn't see the plans for the monorail <laugh>

This might sound obvious but yesterday we played in the back yard of a very good team/squad, gave them a goal start, recovered to score 2 of our own and bring home the points.
The character within our club is immense and everybody from fans to the tea lady should have a massive grin on their faces for days, we're living the dream.

<laugh><laugh><laugh> You’re right mate! Totally forgot about that. She must be an imposter! And the Regis I bumped into a couple of times last season was obviously a body double! Always thought he looked too tall!!! :emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm
