Geldhart Slater Amir Alphabet Think set up was wrong and confused the players somewhat and not sure it was suited to Millar and he didn’t really need to come. Guess the manager knows best but think he got it wrong today at least twice.
Geldhardt, probably his best game over 90 mins for us. Slater. Good energetic performance again today. Hughes. The type of performance you expect from him. ... Amir Alphabet was very good too as was Giles and Ajayi ( Semi). Had a question mark against Joesph for the first time today. Cannot fault the lads effort and honesty but his touch and decision making in and around the box is dodgy. Real shame about Miller, in hindsight, it probably wasn't the right decision to risk him twice in a week. 1-0 would have been a terrific result with the players we had available and I thought we'd done enough until that delayed ( by our fans) late, late corner, you just knew, and..........Four points out of six isn't a bad return though.
Gelhardt. What a player. Hughes. What a captain. Ajayi. What a beast. So sorry for Millar. We’re thinking that the constant crowd calling for the ball to be in the quadrant for corners is a distraction for the players. It makes us switch off and we concede. It maybe amusing but it needs to stop.
Amir - his best game for us getting to grips with the English game now Gelhardt - his close control and running with the ball was great today Slater - good game from him some good distribution and driving runs.
1. Gelhardt - busy as ever , caused them problems , got out goal which he could have added to. 2. Amir H - solid in front our back 3 , he tackled well . He passed well too . 3. Giles - was a threat down our left and got around their defence many times . In the 2 nd half he was regularly our furthest forward player when we attacked. Disappointed that we switched off at that corner near the end as we had defended well as a team . Thought Ajayi , Hughes and Slater played well too . Unlucky boys Come on City
