Confidence and psychology are strange things, especially in sport. Right now Kerkez looks like a park player, Van Dijk looks nervous as though he's never played with any of these before, Wirz is clearly struggling to fit in, all this seems to be spreading to the rest of the team. If you believe you're going to win, you might not win every time but will do more often than not. If you believe you're going to lose, you find a way of making it happen. Stupid mistakes because of nerves, forcing play when you dont need to, being too slow. Put that together with the team balance being off and maybe some players going past their prime and you can see how it can go wrong very quickly. Right now Liverpool remind me of the way they did around the time Dalgleish left and Souness took over, fragile confidence, some key players off their best/in decline and a lack of direction.
Just watched motd. Sky said about ours and Newcastle that Newcastle were dominant?? Without 3 terrible Fulham errors, they score none! Bassey gives the ball away for the first and second, and the keeper was awful on the second too.
