Totally wrong IMO , his touch and brain is way ahead of Joseph, he chases and tries to bring other players in - do you see Joseph do that as much ? His failing like Joseph is lack of pace and at the moment both don’t get into the 6 yd box when balls are delivered . Remember Joseph has now played a good number of games and today about 75 mins leaving Destan to be effective in 15 .
Joseph is constantly chasing that’s literally his game. He does the work of two players, he wins the ball up the pitch all the time. His finishing is fairly poor, and he’s not the positioning or strength of Mcburnie but Destan has shown nothing, granted he’s had limited minutes.
Got to disagree there. Think Joseph has the brain he gets himself well in the game and knows what to do. He just doesn’t have the skill on the ball, the speed or the size and strength to really trouble defenders at this level so struggles to make things happen. Jury will be out on Destan for a long time yet. He can’t be written off. He’s hardly played and it’s often a struggle for most players moving countries, new culture, much more intense football on the pitch. It’s a lot to take in your stride and expect to be at the top of your game.
These have been up for 2 hours, why does Tigers+ only put them up 10 minutes ago? Amateur.. Looks like Joffy was the hero and the villain, lazy tracking.
It's fair to say the week turned out better than expected, 7 points out of 9 is a good return. Disappointing to concede in injury time, but if we had drawn with Leicester and beat Charlton, it would probably feel different. I guess the biggest worry now is the injury list, I can see them delaying Crook's surgery, if he can play on, until Lunny is back. On the game, a typical 3rd game of the week type of affair, not a classic, but apart from the first 10 minutes when Campbell should have scored one or even two goals, we handled the game pretty comfortably until their equaliser. Ajayi/Hughes and Giles had good games, as did Amir, Gelhardt and Slater. Joseph put a shift in as per normal, Crooksy didn't have one of his best games IMO. Onto Norwich, not in the best of form, but still a tough place to go. If Ndala is fit probably him on the left, Gelhardt on the right and Joseph or Oli if fit up top.
7 points from 9 in 8 days isn't a reality check. Especially with a depleted squad. Yes, injuries are the worry. But I'm a lot less concerned about that than under previous coaches 'cos he seems to be getting a tune out of the second string. Great start to the season. Now let's hope we can get players fit, and keep players fit.
