Home! Thank you Libby for the lift! Thank **** the homeward journey was much smoother than the journey north. The most damning thing I can say about today's game is that it looked like a scrap between two teams fighting relegation. The quality was generally awful and in the end Blackburn wanted it more. And for those reasons Still has to go. He just doesn't seem to understand the Championship as a league at all. Yet again, his subs were a disaster of Titanic proportions. The fans reaction to the Scienza sub said it all. And putting Armstrong through the middle was an awful call as well. He just isn't effective as a number 9 and we've been there dozens of times already. A managerial disasterclass. There has not been a single game this season where we've looked convincing for an entire game. We are sleepwalking into a relegation battle under Still and he has to go.
Home **** that was a long day. Traffic up there was absolutely horrific, was an actual miracle me and Tom made KO. Less said about the actual football the better. We just can't control games at all. Charles doing his hammy and the red card topped it off.
Pretty much spot on, I thought I was watching a non league / pre season game in the first half with the quality of play and half empty stands all round the stadium. Subs were mind blowing again from when Archer was replaced by Fraser who NEVER takes on a full back, to the Stephens for Scienza sub, which I am still finding hard to believe, even after a 4 hour drive home. We have no desire, patterns of play, haven’t seen since WS got here including the pre season games, of what he is trying to make this team. Sadly this is turning into yet another disastrous appointment and it’s time to change Now and not just leave this going. Players are not playing for him, and looked confused themselves with the subs and what they were supposed to be doing. If he stays can’t see Saturdays game at home being very good at all, not heard the away fans like that for a long long time, from the you’re not fit to where the shirt, to, you don’t know what you’re doing, sack the board, and get out of our club to SR. The full repertoire today.
Really can't be arsed to read through the fred or properly catch up on the Still one, ****ing exhausted. Job for the morning I think. Will leave tonight with any positives I can think of: - Azaz played some really tidy through balls and it was noticeable how early he played them at times. Definitely needs to be a regular starter as the only player in the squad with that in his locker. - Scienza looks a great signing, really makes things happen. Great potential for link up with Azaz the more they play together. - Was great to finally hear some noise against SR in the ground, lots weren't interested until we went behind with only minimal joining in after the equaliser but was extremely vocal in the final parts of the match. A good first step but needs to be a regular thing now, one win doesn't change the situation with them imo. - New ground ticked off and the trip home was really easy. Don't think I got caught speeding this time either That'll do. Night all and UTFS.
I don’t think it was ever that high in the first place apart from the initial feeling of getting rid of Gao. They run three football clubs in three countries and none are doing well. We are meant to be their flagship club and are doing particularly crap.
I quite enjoyed it when we were in league one. Decent fans who supported there teams for decent honest reasons rather than living in London and supporting Man U or Liverpool because they were doing well at the time
If you tell me Baz wouldn't have saved this then I don't believe you. Woeful again from McCarthy. Thought he was meant to be a half decent shot stopper?
Not great but I don't understand how McCarthy doesn't save that - nowhere near the corner. Just so slow to move.
Awful from Alex, no guarantee Baz would have saved it either though. Neither are good enough is the real problem.
It was gross incompetence not signing a keeper. It was also gross incompetence appointing a manager who’s only experience is video games. Oh well
Oh come on, that simply is not the case is it. He's been a manager for several seasons in France. You can say he's inexperienced in general, has no experience in England sure, but his only experience is not video games and that's a lazy and factually incorrect statement.
He took an average French team to an average league position. Exactly the sort of marquee managerial appointment the club were screaming out for following the worst ever season in our history. Just the sort of experienced, steady hand needed Gamble #507 of SR'S reign. Why go for someone who is ready for a position now when you can get someone cheaper who might make your player trading company some money further along the line. SR out
We’re concentrating on the one mistake, but he saved us on a number of occasions yesterday which would otherwise have meant the scoreline would have been way worse.
