Someone with experience until the end of the season would be my preference. Tony Mowbray has had a few bad spells recently but you don't get much more experienced than him at this level and he might actually accept a contract until the end of season as he'll probably never get another shot at a club of our size. Other than that, I don't really know who else fits that bill. I would have said Rafa but he got a new job yesterday!
Unfortunately I think you could have prime Big Sam and he'd struggle with the squad. The defence just can't defend. It doesn't matter what amalgamation you put at the back, it's just a different version of ****. Even if we had been scoring goals, we're still conceding them. And that issue has been going back many many years. Because we sell all the good ones. So we're left with Jack Stephens as captain on a 3 year deal and we're all scratching our heads as to how that happened.
Still said post match that Jander and Donwes were ill in the night. Would have brought both Aribo and Matsuki up with the team in hindsight. Bragg played in Leicester for the U21's and just got to Blackburn in time.
Utterly unbelievable that we travelled, knowing we had illness, and still left senior CMs at home. And the fact we got to Blackburn, realised that they weren't going to recover last night, and still didn't call for additional cover, is genuinely one of the most baffling and inept decisions I've seen in years. Genuinely amateur hour.
Wasn't it Thursday at the press conference that Jander was a doubt with illness? It should've been obvious from then to include an additional midfielder.
How many ten of thousands of pounds are we paying Aribo? But what, we didn't work to fork out the cost of an extra hotel room last night or something?
Who the **** is making these decisions. You are talking about a multi million pound business and we are cheaping out over a few hundred quid on travel/accommodation. It's incompetence from top to bottom.
Completely inexcusable. From not having enough players. To the initial tactics and lineup. To the substitutions. To the players seemingly being unfit. Farce of a manager. I knew SR would **** it up again, but in my wildest dreams I didn’t think they’d appoint someone this bad.
And to think, just to sum up the chaos and ineptitude on show, Bragg comes on with a shirt not even bearing his name and number
Thats what I was saying. To me it died the day Koeman left and the vultures have been picking our carcass ever since. How can you expect to build anything when your philosophy is literally "sell all the good".
At the services after taking a deep breath from today’s game. Abysmal again. Little to no cohesion and whilst I personally was willing to back Still, that substitution is a sackable offence on its own and shows he really does not have a scooby.
