It was weird. When we played Pompey I actually quite admired their fans (ugh) because they mostly sang about - wait for it - the team and their city. (I might be remembering that wrong though - was a bag of nerves and pretty drunk). But it's pretty depressing if after all this time we're actually more obsessed about them, than they are about us.
It’s 2035, Saints are playing Borehamwood in the Conference South. The 300 fans who have made the trip are singing Jose Fonte baby as Saints concede to go 4-1 down after taking the lead in the first ten mins then going ultra defensive. Lincs is front and centre with an SR OUT banner made from an Aldi bedsheet and Tom is reffing the game
And it's the Southampton derby in the first round of the FA Cup versus League 1 leaders Sholing next up...
I don't know. It not my job to know who would want to buy a football club. Sadly these charlatans are ruining this club, week in, week out. 10th in the PL to a championship relegation battle in just over 3 years. I'm not going to bore you with all the statistics about how **** we are under their ownership. Alot of other clubs wouldn't stand for such ****. And nor should we. Sell up, and piss off.
But that’s the point isn’t it? Dragan Solak has invested heavily in the club and has been badly let down by the people he appointed to run it. Why should he be expected to lose a huge amount of money?
I couldn't care less if Solak loses his money. Thats business. His judgement and track record is shocking. He's appointed these guys, he's put his trust in them & he's just as culpable as the rest of them. The buck stops with him as the head honcho.
Can’t agree. He saved us from having zero investment under Gao, which ultimately led to the first relegation 3 seasons ago. He invested and got us back to the PL, and was let down. Yes, his choices were to blame, but sadly it’s not up to us fans whether he cashes out on a big loss or not. If he can find a buyer who will take us forward, then I’m all for it, but we have zero control over that. We could easily be in a far worse position if he sells cheap to a charlatan asset-stripper.
He could literally drag his balls across St Mary's next match and you'll still have people on here saying "well who wants us anyway? May as well soldier on!"
The decisions have been borderline moronic. They had so much time to plan this season. They threw in the towel in December ffs and they had till August to get their **** together and STILL ****ed it. How many bad decisions do they need to make? How many managers? How many terrible players? How far do we need to stop down before people stop the "it could be worse" bollocks.
"Oh but he saved us from Gao" Whilst forgetting that under Gao, we weren't brilliant, but we were doing enough. Blokes a ****ing inept moron.
