I assume he got frustrated with the forum after last weekend. But he's missed 2 wins on here as a result. Could have enjoyed the victories with us.
Was today the type of game where Ramsey might have offered something different from midfield? Can't fault securing the victory and we finished really strong, but prior to that it looked like we needed to change it up a bid.
Sunderland fans are stupid enough to think they're going to win the league at this point. It'll take a little while to burst and for the other sides to take them seriously, but it'll happen.
Yeah. And it's just a forum. We are all fans and everyone gets frustrated when things don't go well. I've always tried to stick with the laugh things off attitude to life. But it doesn't mean I don't get really fookin wound up when we lose or play badly. I think with GG it just comes out very differently, but it also means everyone piles on him.
Our full backs and the entire midfield 3 are slow and Fulham exploited it. I agree, but we'll never know. I actually think Newcastle trying to be something they're not this season though. I mean, stop ****ing around and get on with it..last 15 they went for it.
Let people vent imo.. It's funny.. Once people get pissed off because someone else is pissed off, it's two of the same things imo.
They are doing well, so genuinely fair play to them. It sounds like they really took the game to Chelsea, away. Most newly promoted teams just sit back, defend and hope. So fair enough. Obviously I want us to smash them 7-0, but you can't fault the way they have cone up and gone for it.
I suppose they are trying to transition from the tactics that big teams will suss out. But that kind of transition can take time to get right. It will come.
Yip fair play. They went big in the summer and they have started well. Now they are 2nd I wonder if the normal top 10 sides will start to take them more seriously. Be interesting if they are still in and around the top 6 come January. Do they go big again to try and push for a top 8 finish?
I like that they're being set up to fall from this position. It's annoying in the short term, but their downfall is only a matter of time.
I think I've been drawn into the real venting and arguing about a dozen times in as many years. Usually try to keep it level headed, but it's not always easy to do that on here.
Newcastle today....... we won. Basically I am counting the games till our full backs are back. Tripps and Burn are doing what they can but man it doesnt half kill us.
Yeah, we've been really hurt with Hall and Tino out - and Wissa in terms of formation options. Thankfully Thiaw and Botman have quickly settled into a solid looking partnership.
My issue with GG isn't that he rages, it's that he becomes a nasty snide little prick when he thinks he's got a bit of backup Then when it turns sour he immediately turns to crying
Honestly there’s so much to juggle. We went gung ho - “intensity is our identity” - three years ago and tore the league up. We did it two years ago with UCL football and ended up with consistent injuries and disruption. We then calmed down first half, stepped up mid/second half last year and got back to the UCL. We’re now trying to juggle the squad a bit better and it’s leading to some turgid performances. We are always better when playing with absolute intensity but it can’t be kept up across four tournaments all season so that’s where we are. We’ve won 5 in 7 now, and not playing as well as we can with two very important players out. I think it’s a case of just hoping we can keep doing what’s needed then get the full backs in asap.
