This weekends debate should set the fur flying

So today Sheffield Wednesday went into administration. A sad day for Wendies fans who all loved Chansiri when he arrived as he spent a ton of cash and got them into the play off final. So close and wonder what would have happened if they beat Hull that day. Ever since though they have gone backwards as the owner didn’t have the cash to do any more. Relegation to L1 followed by a fighting promotion and then nothing but problems. Som12 point deduction and wonder if Simon Jordan will come to the rescue.

As pressure mounts on Dan Farke and especially if tonight’s game goes wrong, many on here will demand to know who will replace DF if he is sacked. There are Problems at Celtic behind the scenes so Brendan Rodgers could be looking for an exit, and I think the 49ers would be silly not to consider him. He also has a very high win ratio %

3 Guys who are available and all with European experience:

Gio Van Bronkhorst has an average 60% win ratio

Roger Schmidt has a 70% win ratio. Apparently Schmidt is known to the 49ers and bookies are offering odds.

Marco Rose averaging 60% and also well known to the 49ers and Red Bull.

Other names are all employed and their clubs would demand compensation:

    Liam Rosenior

    Davide Ancelotti

    Carlos Corberan

    Steve Cooper

    Marco Silva (£15m release clause)

Nice piece Doc, Having come a long way to finally reach the prem, Leeds are a sleeping giant and only need investment to make the loyal fans dreams come true .Unfortunately further investment will only come with on the pitch with results, which are unfortunately getting to the nearly desperate stage, Lewis is not the answer to the scoring problem and lack of goals he is a made of glass and journey man. If the owner can't or won't pull the cash out and sign some decent European players in the winter window, Im afraid the yo yo pendulum will strike again. Wishing the team all the best for tonight and hope they can pull off a win or at least a draw, will be watching and cheering on.

    Happy weekend all

I feel sorry for Wednesday fans. My wife's grandad was one when he was alive.

If we sack Farke then my money is on Rose as he's managed Leipzig and Salzburg already.

Btw Rosenior came up as a potential replacement for Farke but I wouldn't take him.

Of those names I’d probably only consider
    Brendan Rodgers (who I rate)
Steve Cooper (has proven track record and prem experience)
Carlos Corboran (possibly only because of fond memories from the Bielsa days).
    Van Bronkhorst bombed at Rangers.
Ancelotti, just because his dad’s good doesn’t mean he is.
Don’t know too much about the other names other than Rosenior but think it might be a bit of a big jump for him.

About as much sympathy for the Wendies fans as they had for us, non.

Someone I know who is a big nerd (self proclaimed) and very much into his stats, not just win ratio's but what league they achieved them in and what standard of club they managed to see what they got out of them, as in, over achieving, rates Roger Schmidt very highly, so on that basis, Id go for him, not that I think Farke deserves the sack not yet anyway but I do feel he needs to be a bit more flexible with his starting 11.

Good shout mate not heard from him for a couple of weeks when he came on to thank peeps for the messages. Hope he’s just cidered up and recuperating.
Yeah Schmidt is a good call and mentioned quite a lot and his stats are off the wall everywhere he’s been. Marco Rose was also a surprise 71% at RB Salzburg, 47% at Munchen Gladbach, 66% at Dortmund and 56% at RB Leipzig and both recently onnthe market?

I’ve no intention of discussing Farkes successor as we simply wouldn’t attract better. Some Wednesday fans seeing today as a positive and a fresh start. Remember that feeling under bates but my god did it take some length of time for us to revover

    No, it’s ****.
    Plus:
    1. The linesman flagged it offside.
    2. VAR was looking at giving the goal.

The old adage of it was a game of 2 halves summed up last night. First half we dominated and attacked them and scored 2 good goals. It also backed up Farkes we don’t need a set piece coach argument. Okafor put them to the sword and he was unlucky with his header but Aaronson followed up to score. He was also unlucky not to score after his mazy run just not putting enough bend on. Bogle and Gudmundson doing their stuff and Amps and his mates blocking everything in the middle. Pirri and his defence stood solid. 2nd half for some reason we sat back and invited them on and they then dominated possession which put the fear of god into me. Was this his tactics or was it fear that allowed this? WHU had to attack us which meant we should have killed them with our pace on the counter but we continued sitting deep. Harrison replaced Okafor and that didn’t help us as Jack does love to go sideways and backwards a lot, he did play a couple of good balls through from wide left and got on the end of a through all to shoot straight at their keeper. We actually made a poor WHU look better than they are maybe we need a 2nd half coach

Every time Harrison comes onto the field we are instantly a lot weaker. He is hopeless but we’re forced to use him as Gnonto is turning into a sicknite

Thinking about the service DCL doesn’t get, I wonder if a lot of it is because too many individuals take the selfish option and go it alone, rather than put DCL in for a tap in. I may be wrong but last night we saw Okafor, Aaronson, Ampadu, Harrison, Tanaka take shots on. Last night we did take a lt of shots at goal but DCL wasn’t amongst them unless you count the crazy back flip…..how do we get DCL on the score sheet and give him confidence because I like the rest of his game

I seem to remember Everton fans questioning his finishing when he signed for us and they had maybe seven seasons to watch him. He’s 27 and if he hasn’t got the hang of finishing by now, it’s doubtful he ever will. Maybe other players not looking at him to pass to for that reason. After all they play with him every day
