Jobe is a bloody good player and will get better. Bad start at Dortmund, but he's still only 20.

Wherever he goes though, or if he stays where he is, he has to change his football relationship with his Dad. His Dad is a problem for his career now, whatever help he might have been when he was younger.

From the stuff thats been reported before and even more so after his move it seems his Dad isn’t going to help his career progress now he has got to the level he is at!

Teams like Dortmund aren't going to take the parent of a player trying to lay down the law well. Especially not when that player is now an adult and a professional footballer making 10's of thousands a week!

There needs to be a cut off at some point where its "thanks Dad but I need to make my own decisions now I'm an adult and I am at a point where I need to control my own career"!

From what has been said he had a big say in his move from here, to be fair he probably had the same level if not more say in getting him here in the first place. He now seems to be butting against the coaching staff if his son isn’t getting played as he would like or gets benched or brought off early! I find it all really odd that he thinks he has that much say, fair enough have your son's ear still odd but at least I can see why he would think he should have that right but thinking he can do the same with people who have played and coached at the highest level?

It’s a weird situation for Jobe as his mum and dad have obviously been instrumental in his career so far. He is probably torn between being immensely grateful and needing to stand up and have his own say.

I 100% understand it from Jobes point! I don't get it from the parents point of view, their sons are very successful and doing better in life than vast majority of people can ever dream of! What makes you so arrogant that you think you should still be controlling their careers and telling people with a lot more experience in their sons chosen career path that you know better?

(Obviously the know better thing is what is reported, I do not know 100% that's the situation but there are multiple reports about his Dad's behaviour and arrogance!)
