That turned out to be a tough watch. Felt relieved when Tanaka was subbed, not sure about him at this level. Both he and Aaronson work and close down so well - but present opportunities to the opposition when chasing lost causes. Was concerned when Gabi went off, but pleasantly surprised with James and Bijol. Thought Perri did well and didn’t deserve to concede. A very very welcome 3 points MOT.
That 2nd half was hard to watch .We just seemed to put everyone behind the ball and leave DCL by himself. saying ok we are winning 2-0 you break us down and take the risks. They never really hurt us to be honest and played around their half and the center circle. we defended well but a goal is always on the cards playing like that eventually they are going to get something through. losing both Okofor and Gabby didn't help though. can understand why we played like that and taking the risk element out of being caught out etc but we had no outlet. 3 points is what counts though and we got them. but we have to keep certain players fit. Happy weekend Boys and girls that 3 wins on the board and even though its early days its a big win against a team who is going to be mixing it with us end of the season.
3 points chuffed to fook, but cannot get my head around why we want to defend so deep when we all know the opposition need to come and score. Suicide tactics and felt sorry for the defence and Pirri who deserved a clean sheet
Right I'm off to practise my interview technique as new job required..... Gemini says... What is a good answer in a job interview when asked how your motivations and skills align with the role when you are 64 and not really interested in working. This is a very common situation and a challenge in job interviews. You must focus your answer on the professional value you offer, as you cannot be honest about your lack of interest or imminent retirement plans. The interviewer needs reassurance that you are committed, reliable, and will add value.
and yeah Brendan well done deserves some credit tonight its easy to slag him off i did last week but he had one of his better games.
Obviously there are going to be a few really disappointed people on here tonight. FARKE will likely be in charge for another week and the owners have evidently brought a few capable players. Hey ho chaps, it won’t suddenly get easy, we’re in for a long tough season. We weren’t amazing but we didn’t need to be either. Big Ern, you seem decent so no piss take, if you go down, can we please have Bowen & Pacqueta? Best two players on the pitch for me by quite a margin.
This ends up being a talking point whenever we’re defending a lead. Genuinely don’t think we plan to do it. Think there’s been only a few games where we’ve had full strength bench and when the game slows down, the opponents more skilful players get more room to play and pin us back and we find it hard to regain control.
Can't say I'm shocked or surprised, 2 goals a mediocre defence could have dealt with, not helped by another weird line-up from Nuno, though you did your best to let us back in by not attacking much 2nd half. Roll on the January window, though the championship does have it's upsides, as we tend to win a lot more there, which is always nice. @Marcos Barber No offence but if/when Bowen leaves it'll be for a side in Europe, Paqueta, if you can stand the rolling around feigning injury and giving the ball away needlessly, you can have him.
Ok mate, let’s go all out for Bowen, he would be Leeds All Over, top boy, top player in my opinion. When you say no offence, it’ll be for a side in Europe, that could be us
Thought everyone did well tonight and even though Tanaka was probably our worst player tonight, he was still ok not pants. Pirri showed his class tonight and so too did Bijol, in fact the back 4 were solid and JJ wasn’t too shabby either when he came on. DCL needs service but he worked his ass off again but probably left on too long as he was blown just on the hour. Aaronson more than made up for last week and it was great to see Okafor coming back. He will probably be our top scorer at this rate
Yeah, no one outstanding, everyone doing their job, which is all you can ask of them. Agree on DCL, should have been off 5/10 minutes earlier, needs to build up to 90 minutes of that work rate. Very hard to pick a motm but at a push id give it to Ampadu, he was everywhere tonight, nothing spectacular, just very tidy picking up the loose ball and laying it off, nice duck out of the way for Rodon's goal too.
