I remember that game and I did have the programme somewhere (but can't find it now) which had our directors faces blanked out and just a note to say that we were in the hands of administrators. I may be wrong but I think that Halifax were also in a similar situation.
When are Lesta going to get screwed, just like they've done to the EPL and EFL? Gotta be at least 12 points deduction.
Quick to give out the punishment which doesn't help the overriding problem, not so quick at sorting out the fit and proper owner rules, the overall problem with lower league football finances or the long awaited government football regulator rules thing. It's only going to get worse.
They're not going to disappear. People often say this, even said about us in the summer but how often does a team really dissappear completely?
The removal of the seats that spelled out Chansiri was live-streamed and at one point, there were 14,000 people viewing it.
No idea what’s gone on at the pigs but when do players take some responsibility for the vastly inflated wages when they haven’t delivered??
I can't sympathise with them as I dislike their support, but I don't wish administration on them, no. I have enjoyed seeing both Sheffield clubs bottom of the table this year though, rivals on and off the pitch don't warrant sympathy.
I don't wish administration on any club either, that said all the supporters of Sheff Wed I know are overjoyed Chansiri has gone. In reality this could, and should, be the proverbial one step backwards to take two forwards, except in Sheff Wed case it's one step backwards to take 5 or 6 steps forward, albeit it'll take a year or so to settle down.
I'm pretty sure a fans group took them over - last i read was they'd merged with another local amateur team and are back at Gigg Lane, they were playing in a similar League to Nth Ferriby.
It's going to be an interesting agenda item on the first Administrator's meeting: Right, about this bill that came in yesterday for 2000 new seats in weather worn blue. Anyone know who gave the OK on that?
Bury aren't really comparable. Sheffield is a big city and even when their 350,000 glory supporters leave, they are still one of the better supported club in the country. This would probably be the biggest club to go under (which they won't) by a huge margin.
In all respect, I don't think I was ever attempting to compare Bury and Sheff Wed. The question was 'how often does a team really dissappear completely?' I said Bury, simple has.
