Apparently we are all but relegated if we don't win tonight, not sure what I am going to do with myself for the rest of the season if that happens I have seen crowd protests at your place and lots of ours blame our owners for everything from the War in Ukraine to Global warming but spare a thought for Sheffield Wednesday fans today!!
Dyche is like allardyce, claims he played hoofball because he had hoofball players. Allardyce maybe had a point, Dyche had the best squad in the championship with Burnley when he got them promoted and they were still awful to watch in my opinion. Maybe all will change. He's a sensible call for them right now because he knows how to make a side hard to beat. He has some good players so let's see if they morph into prime barcelona. I suspect not. Ange was night and day to nuno, dyche will get them back to basics. So although i don't rate dyche particularly, he's probably what they need right now from the choices available. Employing Ange was insanity. Wolves excepted, the sides off to a slow start have pressed the panic button. Although i dont advocate changing managers for the sake of it, i do think forest and the spammers have given themselves a better chance with the changes made which is not good for us. Let's hope Nuno hasn't found a miracle cure for tonight. Carragher made a point about west ham in that he thinks they have too many players not suited for the league, not good enough athletes or physical enough. I didn't see the Brentford game but the feeling was they got outplayed because they weren't a match physically. If that is true we should be able to do the same, as that's our strength. Issue will be taking chances as usual and the threat of jimmy and bowen on the break.
Dyche-Ball may not be pretty but at the end of the day he kept Burnley promoted with players he signed from the championship..Brownhill, Collins, Rodriguez and Wells to name some. I agree he is the sensible choice right now cos using an unknown from Europe a la Poch to Southampton is a gamble. I don't think the Potter sacking was trigger happy. A better coach was available so they went for it. Wolves I think made the wrong choice extending the contract of their coach and when not if they get relegated they'll have the vultures circling. I watched the Brentford game and at pints they played well imo. Frankly it think Brentford is better which now brings in the argument is Andrews another McKenna but with a better squad. I get we're only a quarter of the way through the season but I think there is a lot to play for. If one of us at the bottom screws up the winter window then it's curtains.
Gut feeling is that we'll only get a draw. We'll go 1-0 up in the first half with West Ham getting a late equalizer.
I think they have been playing better away, the toxic atmosphere at the London Stadium hasn’t helped.
On the train to London for the Rugby League Ashes first game tomorrow at Wembley. Will miss the first half but might get in to the Euston Flyer for the 2nd half.
