Winter Fuel Allowance has been restored....we both got letters today telling us that we will receive £150 each towards are energy bills.

Just need reversing our freedom pass to start from early morning... instead of from 0930hrs as it did during Covid.

Had our Covid and Flu jabs yesterday................booked up online and there where probably more than 80% of booking times available......we where more than 15 minutes early and we got done straight away.....I assume that's because of raising the age to 75 years old.

Very rare…. I looked it up…. Only about 6,000 ever made.

I worked with a guy once who had a Jaguar E-Type as his weekend car rather than our rather boring company cars.

I was always hoping for a ride so every Monday I’d ask “Been out in the E-Type Mel?” It’d be “No it looked like rain so I didn’t” but much more frequently, in fact all the time, it’d be “No, I’ve got the cylinder head off” or “no I’m re-lining the brakes”or…. You get the picture.

I was only there for about 18 months (having sold and bought a house which we only occupied for 9 months) and I don’t think he drove the damn thing in all that time!

A neighbour up the road as a red E-Type......his garage looks like a mechanics dream area....but as you say....when he backs it out of the garage....(or does he just roll it out ?) or actually turn the engine on ? he has the bonnet up or the boot open.....and I must admit I've never seen it go beyond his drive ?

Now I think about it, he was in the process of replacing all the brake pipes. No small task.

Hi Joe....how is your lad getting on these days...?

You had found a place for him near London......is he still there ..?

If so ...your motorway mileage must be quite high.

I only did a thousand miles between MOT's this last year.....of course the Citroën was off the road for 6 weeks because of their national recall on faulty airbags.....(120,000 of us in the UK alone).

Cleverley made some comment about “some players being happier with routine games rather than this kind of hot-house atmosphere”.

It’s noticeable I suppose that only Joe Edwards has played against Exeter before.

Nevertheless, it’s a worrying comment. What would happen if we needed 3 points in the last day?

It’s notable too that his first substitution was to change the CB’s. Not something you see very often…..

Well we made Exeter's season.....celebrations after the match as if they had been promoted.

I still reckon that these players shouldn't be in this relegation position.....they seem to be players that are waiting to be told how to go about winning matches..........and they seem to have been sent out without any idea how to go about it.

The concerns about Cleverley being the right man for the job are starting to swell up.....he doesn't seem to have any authority and shows no leadership.....he is coming over more like a wet sponge and doesn't inspire anyone.

We have the joint worse defence in the league.....his first change at half-time was Mitchell....who should have been our first choice central defender.....why was he change....was it because he had received a knock...or is it because of his off pitch problems....if so then he shouldn't have been first choice.....another yellow card for Sorinola means he misses the Mansfield game....the players are showing no authority on the pitch and are certainly lacking discipline.

The captain Joe Edwards subbed off when you would expect him to be rallying the troops...is he losing his up and go because of how the team is being coached at the moment.

We where all chuffed that after what seems ages we have managed to get ourselves a genuine goal scoring striker.....last night Tolaj must of wondered what on earth was he doing here......no service for him to thrive on......how on earth can a lowly struggling team like Exeter dominate us so easy.

Ok you can say that I'm talking the team down.....but if we're not careful we could be walking slowly into a blind ally with no plans on how to turn it around.

So we have important players out injured....so you could say we're having terrible bad luck.....it could be said that you make your own good luck.....there is a well known saying ...."that the more that I practise the better I get".....well that could be mentioned to our manager/chief coach and I hope he starts manning up to the job soon...or he will join the lengthening queue of failed managers that we seem to find lately time after time.

You are talking the team down.

If you looked, you’d see Edwards was taken off to bring Mumba on. It was an aggressive move to bring more attacking threat at the risk of conceding a third goal and no doubt reduce the risk of Edwards getting injured again. You’ll see managers make that sort of change at many games this weekend.

I disagree about talking the team down.....we're not facing up to the facts....we have been down this route three times in recent years and disaster is the end result.
