Seen a few people mention them hitting the bar without mentioning we also hit the post. A pair of efforts cancelling each other out in terms of goals the ‘should’ have been scored.

Id argue our chance that hit the woodwork was probably twice as good as theirs too.

Really think it's about time for footie to introduce a points based system of scoring to make the game fairer and much more exciting.

    I propose:

5 points for what we now view as a 'goal'.

3 points for hitting the woodwork.

    2 points for a corner.

1 point for a shot on target.

And an additional point for every 5% of possession a team may have over the opponent at the end of a game.

    So for our last game:

    Goals 2:1

    Woodwork 1:1

    Corners 1:7

Shots on target 6:4 (minus the goals 4:3)

    Possession 36%:64%

    Hull City = 10+3+2+4

    Leicester City = 5+3+14+3+2

Final Score: Hull City 19 Leicester City 27

I'm not being in the slightest bit serious, but you can bet someone in FIFA is thinking 'you know what, this could work and make us more money'.

The bars a lot longer than two posts too
So the post is harder to hit as there’s less of it

But there's 2 of them and combined they're longer than the crossbar.

    It's a bloody minefield.

You’ve got the possession wrong, teams are trying to have less now. It should be -1 point for every 5% of possession.

Even with that adaptation Leicester beat us.

We need to work on getting more corners.

Goal kicks are better than corners. You have to work to get a corner back to the goalkeeper and there’s some risk involved. Goal kicks are much better to try and attack from.

What about an extra 50 points if you can lodge the ball in the goalpost stanchion, Trevor Brooking style?

No wonder they're hard to hit if they are on planes.

I'd like that apart from the fact he was instrumental in giving Milton Keynes a stadium that they can fill (ha ****ing ha), and one we cant (**** off you southern twat).

Isn't the goal 8 foot by 24 foot? So two posts combined is 16 foot, still less than the cross bar.

I was looking at stats earlier, the Joseph shot that was palmed onto the post had a post shot xg of 0.84, so the keeper did very well to keep it out.
