Am missing the first half unfortunately but saw the team sheet and buried my hands in my head - the result so far is inevitable. Slot has officially lost the plot.
I don't know what's going on here. Players look confused and without belief in what Slot is trying to do...and tbf ... I'm not sure either. I know it would take a year (last year was last year of Klopps and I applaud Slot for the continuation rather than bringing in a wrecking ball immediately) for a change in style and this amount of players but this ...this looks like a distinct lack of understanding between what coaches want and what players understand... It's not a small thing.
Helpful hints. Stop touching them on set piece. Start running forward and not away from them. Hit it in when you knock it. Stop dilly dallying.
Yessss Finally stopped touching their players. They can't defend, thry just drop. Most of the balls in have gone over the targets head so far.
Jones there. Go challenge the guy. He runs away from him. Just retreats and leaves him an open pass to assist. For the goal Szoboszlai runs at the man Jones should be going and andnruns into Jones leaving the man who assists free as a bird. Robertson fails to close or put body on line. Time and time again. Get in there and hit the man and ball. Aggression needed.
